Some days I’m completely ready to leave this place. Others, I’m reminded of all the priceless experiences we’ve had here, countries we’ve traveled to, and most importantly, all of the amazing people we have met along the way. I’m truly lucky to know people from so many different cultures and backgrounds so far from my own... off to enjoy my last weekend in Abu Dhabi for a while... excited to be home soon ❤️. Thanks for the beautiful pic @yogavibesbytash 🙏🏼 #grateful#expatlife
I’ve been adding puppy pose into my practice to replace some of the belly-down backbends in the Ashtanga Yoga intermediate series... think I’ll have to keep it in there post baby too 🐶🐶🐶🐶 #stretchystretchy#sogood 😜

It's funny because I look pretty comfy in Eka Pada Sirsasana... Little do you guys know what a struggle this pose has been for me! Every morning I get on my mat and I dread the awful moment I have to put my leg behind my head... But to be honest, it's getting easier. Ps this is @vacationing music and you should all dig it 🎶😜✌🏼️ "no point to making plans, the wild life is human nature..."
Join me on Friday morning @bodytreestudio for power vinyasa from 9-10:30. We will play with some advanced asana and talk about #Ahimsa. Coming from the Sanskrit word "hims" to strike, himsa is injury or harm, making ahimsa the opposite. Im specifically referring to harm we do to ourselves, especially in our yoga practice. How often do we put ourselves down when we can't complete a posture. How often do we compare ourselves to other? (Or random strangers on the Internet for that matter!). Let's start loving our practices for what they are, and not how advanced or perfect looking they may be! #selflove#yogaabudhabi

THE FUNDAMENTALS OF ASHTANGA YOGA WITH TINA BOCK
9:00 - 11:00 08-02-2019
Looking to dive deeper into the philosophy and structure behind Ashtanga Yoga? Tina will lead you through the beginning of the Primary Series with traditional Sanskrit counts, as taught by her Guru, Sharath R Jois, in Mysore, India.
SAFE AND EFFECTIVE HIP-OPENING IN ASHTANGA YOGA WITH TINA BOCK
In this two-hour workshop, we will explore not only the primary series hip openers, but also complementary asanas to help get a deeper opening. Intense opening in the hip joints can be emotionally draining and dangerous when not practiced correctly.
YOGIC PHILOSOPHY 101 WITH TINA BOCK
The word “Ashtanga” literally means “Eight Limbs” representing eight parts of the yoga practice, only one of which is Asana (the postures). In the last five years Tina travelled to India six times to study yoga in its entirety. We will discuss and explore the other parts of what our yoga practice should consist of “off the mat” and how to use them in our daily lives. This workshop is suitable for anyone who wants to learn about yoga, aside from the physical aspects. To sign up call @bodytreestudio 024434448
