It's the easiest thing in life to be lazy. This is my standing split.🙊 Am I any less of a yogi because I can't do splits? No, strength comes natural for me not balance & flexibility. 💪 I invite you to take this week to honor your "weaknesses." Don't push them aside because it takes hard work. I did this for a whole year with my splits because I suck at them. #ilovemyweakness 💙 I think one of the most beautiful forearm poses is Lotus Hollowback ✨ unfortunately I can't come close to sitting in Lotus due to my knee injuries... Sometimes, it's extremely discouraging since hollowbacks are my favorite.. This is how far I can get into that pose.. For now, until my knees decide to cooperate, this is my lotus leg forearm hollowback. 🙏 please remember to love yourself and love any "weaknesses" you may label yourself with.. I am not any less of a yogini because I need a wall to help me grab my toes in king pigeon and because I can't get my thigh on the ground. Just like you, I am human. We all have different skeletal & muscular make up. Today, I am so happy to have grabbed my foot in this posture. For all my non-bendy friends🙋🙋🙋 I found a new fun way to practice the ever-so-scary drop back! This is my first time ever doing this! I loved it, lowering down this slowly allows me to feel every vertebrae move and every muscle stretch... I am probably the worst yogi ever because I don't commit myself to backbends because standing on my hands is more natural for me. Well today, I'm committing myself to developing a deeper backbend practice, the proper way (not just when I'm inverted) 🙍 this means taking time to open my shoulders and hips... My first Orange Color Saree
First year of Navaratri in India, 2010
Its wonderful & Fun to have all colors of Indian saree during these 9 silence celebrations days. I had all colors needed for those 9 days, except Orange color.
I felt incomplete at that moment.
Universe heard it and sent Kaushani Ji (my very best friend from Vasad) to 'gift' me, An Orange Saree just the night before the Navaratri starts.
Thats how I Started my first Navaratri 2010...and next will be my 8th ... I love the fires, the chanting, the herbs, the deep silence & meditation.
Thats the time you will be merging with the universe, with the mother divine..
Time to pray for everyone.
Time for my soul healing
Time to heal all the wounds from many lifetimes.
Time when you dissolves to the ocean of Love, unlimited love , unconditional love, there is no 'I' but 'All Being". May all being be Happy & Free from sickness and Sorrow.
