Lateral movements are often overlooked by players in training. Players tend to opt for the more popular exercises such as squats, deadlifts and sprints. ⠀
But when it comes to playing a match, lateral movements are essential, and a player who trains in the lateral plane is going to have a huge advantage over the opposition. ⠀
The lateral side bound exercise develops coordination, stability power, strength and better body awareness. ⠀

THE PATH OF THE PROFESSIONAL
The professional makes their decisions based upon their values. They know they’re not always going to feel like doing what they need to do, but before they allow their current state to dismiss or blow off an opportunity or task that they should be pursuing they fall back to their values. They value the outcome of the task so they do the damn thing.
If the winner is tired or feeling down but they got the opportunity to better themselves, to take a step in the direction toward their goals you can bet your ass they’re going to say yes and do it 10 out of 10 times.

Defending in today’s game is harder than it has ever been before. Today players are very fast and extremely technical, so winning the ball from them is an art.
The tips in this post are some good foundational tips of 1v1 defending. But please note that you also have to be a good team defender if you want to stand out as a player.
Practice implementing these skills in practice and you will see your percentage of tackles and balls won will increase.

For impact sport athletes, proper body angle is HUGE both in accelerating and staying strong during impact! Proper alignment of the hip, knee and ankles puts us in our strongest, healthiest position. 💥💥
🔰Poor movement seems to be an underlying element related to dysfunction and injury. Our bodies will take the path of least resistance while in motion. Sometimes this means muscles that are not optimally suited to carry out primary functions of movement at a joint, will takeover for an inhibited primary muscle.
Over time this can cause movement compensations and leads to injury. This has a grave impact on the mental state of the athlete and it’s not always light on the pockets of the teams and other individuals involved.
💥Focus on proper movement and follow a testing battery that sniffs out these impairments effectively. I’ve just enrolled in the Movement Efficiency course with @fusionetics and I am loving information like this, that they are providing. Level up!
