11. An Ode To This Strange Season
what a time to be alive and bury their name in your soul. tell only stories you and they know.
what a time to be alive and see a fossil up close. you got through pain and so much more.
what a time to be alive and wonder and wander.
it’s a new season but a tale as old as you.
there is much to unravel.
much you can't explain.
but if you were asked you would do it all again.
what a time to be alive.
"Stop apologizing for the things you care about, for your passions, for your drive to do something that others may not want to do. Stop apologizing for the afternoons you feel lazy or the mornings you get up early just to watch the sunrise. Stop apologizing for the way you love – too much, too little, too crazy, too guarded.
Stop apologizing for the decisions you make, the paths you choose, the life you live." 🌱

I planted my garden
on the wrong side
of moon forgetting
tides of ocean
lunar wax wane
despair gave off
a single fruit…
I ate it
my eyes grew

Have to be honest, all of the conversations with people about my depression, which lead into conversations about their depression, and then ongoing writing on depression, can get difficult to bear. I opt for a lighter effort on occasion, this time being a fantasy story. Here is what I have of the opening sequence. Please be brutal with comments and I encourage posting comments in the document if desired. I need feedback.
