Are you going into the gym without a plan?
Getting to the gym is hard enough, but when you get there and don’t have a plan of what you want to accomplish, that makes it 10x harder.
IT USUALLY GOES SOMETHING LIKE THIS:
You put on your cute new workout outfit & drag yourself out the door.
You pull into the packed parking lot & you’re already starting to get overwhelmed.
You walk in, look around & the place is packed.
The 3 machines you know how to use are taken & your embarrassed to try a new machine you’re not familiar with when it’s so crowded.
So you head over to the cardio side and get on the same elliptical you end up on every time..
You use it for 15 minutes until your bored & overly annoyed that your gym is always so crowded, convincing yourself that this is why you should have just stayed home anyway.
I know this because that used to be me 🙋🏼♀️
HERE’S WHY YOU SHOULD GO IN WITH A PLAN:
〰️ YOU’LL MAKE MORE PROGRESS.
If your routine is random, or if you’re doing the same exercises day in and day out, you will eventually plateau and your progress will stall. If you use a plan that incorporates progressive overload and different exercises into your routine, you will continue to progress in your journey.
〰️ YOU’LL LEARN HOW TO CREATE WORKOUTS FOR YOURSELF.
After I invested in my first coach, I eventually learned how to create workouts for myself using the different exercises she taught me.
〰️ YOU’LL BE MORE CONFIDENT.
What if you had a plan that gave you videos for each exercise you were supposed to do? A fool-proof method to help you learn new exercises and allow you to feel confident performing them!
〰️ YOU’LL ACTUALLY BE EXCITED TO GET TO THE GYM.
Having a plan allows you to get excited for the workout you’re going to complete! You can read over it beforehand and recognize how good you’ll feel once it’s completed!

This was so crazy— EXACTLY as we were leaving the beautiful wedding we attended yesterday, it started pouring rain! @rpwells and I were stoked because it had been so sunny and hot and the rain felt SO GOOD.😁 HOW WAS YOUR WEEKEND!? I am a definite fan of the mindset “a Sunday well spent brings a week of content” — whether that means completely resting and relaxing or doing errands and prepping for the week ahead, the most important piece of setting yourself up for success (and getting rid of the “Sunday scaries”) is going into Monday with a POSITIVE mindset! SWEAT NATION is only 8 days away!! Remember you are capable of anything. If you haven’t joined us yet, click the link in my bio.💪🏼⚡️👏🏼 #sweatnation #pwrprogram

💪REMINDER MAMAS (and everyone!). 💪 Don’t be afraid to lift heavy— YOU DO IT ALL DAY! I can’t tell you how many times women tell me, “I’m not strong, I can’t lift heavy.” OR “I don’t want to get big bulky muscles.” 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️. First off, you ARE strong! If it’s not kiddos, its laundry baskets or grocery bags or furniture or suitcases or boxes.... the list goes on, at home or at work! Sure, in workouts things are a little more isolated, a little more specific (and thank goodness, to counterbalance all the other things we do all day), but you ARE strong. You lift heavy all day every day. Talk about muscle strength AND endurance! .
And second, we have said it for years and years and years.... women don’t get big bulky muscles from lifting weights. It’s science. It’s biological. And I’ve seen it time and time again with clients and with my own training. We lean and tighten and tone and most importantly, we get STRONGER💪💪💪. Stronger to lift those babies at home or boxes at work or wine glasses at night🍷. Keep it up! And don’t be afraid to get go heavy in those workouts! .

1️⃣ Assisted Paul Ups 3 x 12
Pull ups are one of my worst exercises. This is a really good exercise I’ve been doing lately to help me improve my pull ups. Make sure you stay under the bar and pull yourself straight up.
2️⃣ Jumping Ball Slams 5 x 10
Squat down, pick the ball up overhead, jump and explode up and slam the ball as hard as you can. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
3️⃣ Deficit TRX Curtsy Lunges 3 x 8 each leg
Stand on a box and lunge like a curtsy. Drive through the front heel and use your upper body as little as possible. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
4️⃣ Plank Windshield Wipers 3 x 20
Get in a plank and slide your legs out to the side. Pause in the middle and squeeze your core. Make sure your back is not arched! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
5️⃣ Kneeling Banded Rows plus W’s 3 x 12
Row keeping elbows high then make a W formation and come back slowly. Keep butt tucked in and chest up. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
