"The growing number of startups, founders and ideas, raises another question: who will execute these ideas into reality? I saw that gap for digital talent, which motivated me to set up Binar Academy," says Alamanda Shantika. Binar is a non-formal, full scholarship tech academy launched in March 2017 and already have more than 650 graduates. The academy have three schools in Yogyakarta, Batam, and BSD Tangerang. And Alamanda says she's in talks to open more in smaller cities. “Si le monde ne s’ouvre pas aux femmes, on est fichus ! ”
Décidément, les Emma sont à l’honneur aujourd’hui !
#EmmaThompson a 60 ans aujourd’hui !

MINIMIZING || 💎 Working with women for over nearly four years I see very often that they minimize their achievements. And it is so painful to observe as I was there for a long time too. Until I learned techniques to deal with it which is one of the reasons for where I’m today in my personal & professional life 🔥
Minimizing words are those that diminish the importance or size of achievement (something learned early in childhood such us "Don't brag or boast")! Do you resonate? Do you feel that I’m talking about you, too?
I know for sure that by using the word "just" you minimize the importance of the recognition. You downplay success or attribute it to something other than your talent, hard work, or knowledge. In response to congratulations or compliments, unfortunately women will often say something like: “It was really nothing special", or “I guess I just got lucky". And when you say those phrases enough times, you will begin to believe them. STOP NOW‼️ Practice saying instead “Thank you for noticing" or simply “Thank you. I'm pleased with how it turned out". Say it again and again until it rolls off your tongue in response to a compliment. It is crucial for your development, visibility & leadership! ‼️ Avoid using phrases such as: “It was only...", "I just ...", "I surprised myself..." If you want to be modest (as many women want to keep it this way, but then be overlooked when a next promotion chance comes!!) try saying something like "Thank you. I am quite proud of what I achieved and must give some credit to those who helped me along the way". By routinely apologizing you minimize your presence & downplay certainty. Stop using phrases like:
or using extra words like: little, tiny, small, quick, etc.
Women also use very often discounters & disclaimers, e.g.
‘This may be beside the point..’
‘Maybe this isn’t important..’
‘You may already have heard it..’ What is your experience? Do you see yourself in one of those situations? If so, try to practice the above phrases and your chances for rising will increase for sure 💫
And please remember that speaking about YOUR accomplishments is assertive behavior 🔥

Do you REALLY know what it means to love UNCONDITIONALLY?
Tania Woods of @ink.fully shared her journey with the #ChatswithChelsi community earlier this summer. Four years ago, her oldest son was diagnosed with autism.
The meaning of unconditional love was challenged in her everyday life.
She has learned the power of this question, “Can you meet someone where THEY are?” If you missed our chat, head to LifewithChelsi.com to watch or listen. Tania’s authenticity will bless your life. 👚: LifewithChelsi.com

Today, in the afternoon we're heading to Darebin City Council and develop discussion with the officers. .
In there they shared about: (1) How the goverment in Australia work to addresing the multi-cultural issues, including make high level and detail plans ~ short, mid, long term plans, (2) All state and local goverment must develop program and policies to address the plan ~ diversity & inclusiveness program, (3) All officers must follow the ground rules ~ they are officers who must responsible to implement the higer level plan, (4) The local goverment become mediator between communities and higher level goverment, in purpose all issues could be solved sooner, (5) The Counselor or other higher leader has strong commitment to implement the plan, (6) If there are officers who did violent act and clearly they will bring into the court house, (7) Darebin has Interfaith Council to focus on the multi-ctural collaboration and generate harmony by developing cross-culture activities, (8) They made Equity Impact Assessment (EIA) to review the program's impact, (9) Education since childhood is the key to develop awareness of diversity in Darebin, (10) The education curicullum design in context to drive people become more and more inclusive.
Also I made same conversation with Ms Chandana about Hindu, and how they live their religious life in Melbourne. In fact, they have strong connection among Hindu communities in specific areas but they build Sunday School internally (considering the temple quite far, so they couldn't do Sunday School in the temple like in Indonesia). There are several big Hindu Temples in here but the distance is far... for example: from CBD area we need 1.5 hour walking to the nearest Krsna temple and drive for 51 km to Shri Shiva Wisnu Temple.
Overall, this visit open-up my mind at some points. Getting more interesting.
At the end of the session, I shared our gratitude to the Sharon and delivered Indonesian gift to her. It was so lovely.
Btw, I think Darebin is nice place to live. Not too crowded, warmer than CBD areas, and feel so peaceful 😊
Thank you so much for @australiaawards 🙏👍

As powerful as they are, habits do not form easily. It takes many repetitions to imprint behaviors in your brain. Focusing your efforts on developing habits is an exercise in self-discipline. There will be times when you start rationalizing bad behavior and want to quit. But you have to fight through that feeling. Doing so will not only formalize your habits, but develop mental strength.
What CAN you do?
When we are struggling we go immediately to I can’t.
I can’t do weight
I can’t do squats
I can’t do shoulders
We all have challenges. I have bad knees, a herniated disc and am 7 weeks post op from a major surgery. There are MANY things I can’t do BUT that gets me nowhere.
What CAN I do? LOTS!!! We let our mind get in our way and it’s used to focusing on fear and letting us stay in our own way of success.
Today I challenge you to focus on what you CAN do. Beautiful girl you are made to do incredible things and today is your day ❤️ My next bootcamp enrollment is open and it’s got plenty of room for you 😘
PS Pedro is 12 pounds 😉#strongwomen #todayistomorrow#ican#iwill#imworthit
