When two seasons intersect and the autumn equinox is on the horizon, isn’t it fitting that we turn to the ancient wine growing region of Georgia whose nearly 8,000 years of uninterrupted traditions inspire every ounce of our thirst and intellect. Thousands of equinoxes later, the 2016 Gotsa Family Mtsvane is unequivocally amber wine—a relief in an era where low rent knock-off skin contact wines are becoming a real thing. The current proprietor of the winery, Beka Gotsadze, is committed to making raw, real wine in the Asureti Valley which is about 30 minutes from Tbilisi. There is a there there-ness that cannot be fabricated with a well designed label or well engaged insta account. Check out our story to learn a bit more about the family, the grape, price and availability. Pic cred to our comrade @orestionline

Due to its delicacy, Weissburgunder pairs best with lightly flavored foods and particularly well with soft, somewhat stinky cheeses (washed rind anyone?). ⠀
Of course, we also highly recommend the classic Bavarian bar treat: cheesy pretzels!
Sexta é dia de pensar em preparar umas delicias. Bruschettas sao sempre uma ótima pedida. Camarão ou aspargos? Eu amo as duas, e vocês?!

I stumbled upon it at @publix and thought I’d give it a try. I was not disappointed.
It’s light and sparkling and the perfect amount of sweetness and not flavorless like White Claw or other seltzer’s.
I’m in love. I can’t wait to try more flavors. This one is perfect!
