BIG NEWS: The world’s largest wind turbine blade has made its first trip out of the @lmwindpower factory in Cherbourg, France. Final preparations are underway for the 107-meter blade to ship for testing.
Eventually, three blades of its kind will make their way as part of @gerenewableenergy’s Haliade-X 12 MW—an offshore turbine that'll create a competitive source of clean and renewable energy.
The Pacific Orca is a purpose-built heavy-lift jack-up vessel. The self-elevating, self-propelled vessel has been built for use in the offshore wind farm market. With carrying and installation capability of up to 12 wind turbine generators (WTG), each rated at 3.6MW, she is the biggest wind farm installation vessel (WIV) in the world.

My first wind project is up & running!!! Feelin like a proud momma!! •
Our Grady wind farm in Curry County, New Mexico is now up and running! With the already operational facilities in Broadview, this brings Pattern’s projects in New Mexico to three, with a total installed capacity of 544.8MW.
Another one of my favourite landmarks to photograph, the old wind turbine at Richborough. It used to share the site with Richborough Power station but now that has been replaced by the UK end of Nemolink, an electricity sharing facility between us and mainland Europe.
