Yesterday me and Peach went on a fun trail ride right beside the highway and through neighborhoods with dogs and kids everywhere! Gotta love bombproof ponies and Southern California’s version of trail. 😉🌻

El director de #TheMandalorian, Jon Favreau, compartió esta imagen conceptual de una de las sorpresas más grandes (y bienvenidas) del año, en la franquicia de #StarWars.
Qué opinas de la serie hasta el momento: 👍 o 👎?
Let time move away from me, which is no longer light. Let only sincere things and good feelings remain. Nothing more than the essentials. 🌵✨💕

Yesterday's post was all about symmetry. Today I'm expanding that topic into commercial graphics. .
I developed this logo and its supporting brand identity for a sophisticated Southwestern brand with a cultured eye for authentic, high-end art, and antiquities. Welcome, Cicada Sky.
This mark needed to reflect the original, handcrafted art and antiques collected and sold by Cicada Sky. It needed to speak to that old-world culture. .
Two visuals came to mind while developing this identity. One was the color and decorative patterns found in ceramic terracotta tiles, and the second was ornate ironwork associated with the regions' architecture. Both similar in style, both symmetrical.
There is so much you can do with a balanced form. You can use it as a standalone focal point, offset it with copy, crop it into sections, or create a repeating pattern. And then there are the endless applications. .
Now that I've got you thinking look around you. What do you see? I just found two symmetrical forms sitting on my desk. How about you?
