You're not truly craving CONTROL over food when you choose the tuna salad (that you do NOT want!), you're actually craving BALANCE with food. 😀
I notice such a theme (I've been guilty of doing this too) of women desperately wanting to get back in control of their eating when their comfort eating has increased.
If we feel out of control, it's very natural to want to feel in control, by dieting. This is the pattern that have been so used to in the past. This is where our mind automatically goes.
We might think that we crave control and it feels empowering because we are taking action. However, we aren't really in control, because we can't control when we will be out of control again with our eating, which will happen at some point.
A feeling of empowerment can quickly turn into feelings of disempowerment and failure.
What I believe that we truly crave is BALANCE.
Wanting to get back in control and diet, is just a sign of being out of balance.
Small tweaks, baby steps and tuning into your body is the first step to create more balance. 🙂

Here is something that I see being done soo often that can impact your performance and results MASSIVELY in the gym!
Stretching before anything else…
Static stretching specifically.
This is one of the most common mistakes being done so often by regular gym goers and newbies too and they don’t know how bad it can be!
The main reason why you should never stretch before you train is because…
IT WILL SNAP YOUR SHIT UP!! Lol
Not really, but the main reason is because before even doing anything with your muscles there already in a shortened state.
And so because your muscles are short there is absolutely no need to stretch them, unless there extremely tight!
Then what happens when you start to train is the muscles start to lengthen more and more during the session.
Meaning the best time to stretch would be at the very end of your session because that’s when the muscles are long and need to be shortened back to their normal length!
So there ya have it!
Stretching 101 and why you should always stretch after rather than before you train . ❌TAG SOMEBODY THAT STRETCHES THE WRONG WAY❌
Got a sweet craving but need to keep those calories in check?⠀
Here's 6 heavy hitters my clients frequently have when they want something sweet, but don't want to add a $h1tload of extra calories to their daily intake.⠀
Having some options like these can be a lifesaver, especially once those late night cravings hit.⠀
Here's a tip:⠀
But your milky bar mousse in the freezer and it will make it like ice-cream.⠀
You could, alternatively get some halo top ice-cream.⠀
Or maybe you want a savoury snack?⠀
Popcorn is often a great choice, but just make sure you look a the calories on the back, as certain types can have a lot of added fat, and thus extra calories.⠀
Manhatten or Metacalfe popcorn are low calorie varieties.⠀
If you need chocolate, then get something smaller like a snack bar, or some fibre one bars.⠀
What is your go-to low calorie sweet?⠀
Let me know in the comments!⠀

Ingredients: Garbanzo beans, diced red onion, lemon juice, olive oil and salt. 😊 What are you having for lunch today??

These cookies are a good treat! I must admit the erithytol is really strong so I can’t really have more than half a cookie at a time! But it’s only 5NC for the whole cookie 😍
