Does anyone else feel like November flew by? This year will soon come to an end, and my last semester of nursing school will surface. Ah! A light at the end of the tunnel.😅 Feels good to know that with my BSN degree, I’ll be one step closer to having autonomy in patient care😌
Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Find your niche, and hone in on it. Progress is never made if you conform to standards, rules, or the constructs of others. Dare to be bold; continuously challenge and question your current operating system. The path you walk is unique to YOU, and deserves to be celebrated. 🥳
Who wants to roam? 🚐🗺💫

Horsetooth Reservoir, which is open year round and located west of Fort Collins, offers trails that are perfect for winter recreation. The Inlet Bay Trail, which connects the Blue Sky Trailhead and Soderberg Trailhead, includes 2.7 miles of easy trails perfect for snowshoeing or cross country skiing if snow conditions allow, or hiking, trail running and fat tire biking when there’s less snow. 📸: @studio35ive#visitfortcollins#lovefortcollins#visitftcollins

‘‘Tis the season | if you are feeling inspired to cut down your own tree this year, here are your options in Northern Colorado | purchase your tree permit through the US Forest Service website before you go | link in bio | don’t forget the necessities: snow boots, rope, tarp, axe, H2O, and something warm to drink | my family and I will be partaking in a “fun old-fashioned family Christmas”, Griswold-style tomorrow 🌲

Soo.. there is snow outside............. and we heated the water a little too hot (to about 207 )so we figured we’d cool it down a bit and pour our chemex in the snow for the initial bloom pour( dampening of the grounds). Plus, it just looks pretty. This brings up a good topic of conversation though- your water temperature when brewing. What is the right temp? We like to keep the water between 195-205 for maximum flavor extraction. There are a lot of coffee brewers out there but oddly enough, there are only about 20 coffee brewers that have been approved by the SCAA and that actually get to the correct temperature. When using a traditional home brewer our favorite is Bonavita but check out the link in our bio for the list of other SCAA certified brewers( the water temp in all of these gets to between 195-205) You may not think it’s a big deal but we promise you the level of flavor can go from meh to miraculous when you have the temp just right🧘🏼♂️☕️
