For 9 consecutive weeks, the only social interaction these boys have had are each other. I’m anxious for them to get back into a daycare routine, but part of me is so sad knowing how special this time has been for them. They’ve bonded together unlike I ever thought they would, and the relationship they have with our sitter is so incredibly special.
If I’ve learned anything through all of this, it’s definitely to have faith. I’ll be the first to admit I cried for hours when daycare emailed us two months ago regarding their closure. I couldn’t keep myself together. I was petrified at what a broken routine would look like. I was petrified my boys would be bored. But here we are 2 months later and I’m honestly not sure if they’ve ever been happier. And Parker even sang all of his ABCs last night! I’m not going to take credit for it, they truly are in incredible hands. It takes a village to raise children, and I’m just feeling extra thankful for our village today 💙

Realno, mogle su, a moci ce i oni 😳😁 #blizanci#twintoddlers#twintoddlerlife#twinboys
Hi it's our day off from #cabinprojects. Spent time burning wood alone #outside
My Jo spent time doing #puzzles all day. #twintoddlers spent time on #cartoons and #runningallovertheplace

When I purchase things for my kids, I always keep a few things in mind when deciding.
1. How long will this thing last?
2. The price
3. Will they achieve anything from it? .
I will say, #3 flies out the door a lot because I do buy them things just to occupy them to save my sanity 😆
But, I am against buying toys that are wasteful. They need to at least get a couple uses out of it.
When I see the word REUSABLE, my eyes light up 🤩
My kids especially love coloring, stickers and of course anything that makes messes, so if I find any of these where I’m able to keep reusing it, I’m pretty much sold (given the price is decent).
When I saw my friend Mera @ummahat_blog posted about these @melissaanddougme Reusable sticker pads from @amazonae, I needed to get them 🏃🏼♀️ 💨
I like that I can leave these pads out, and let them play with them whenever they feel like it and not have to worry about them sticking stickers all over walls and tables. I have a love/hate relationship with crafts right now because my kids are at that age where if they are not being supervised every minute, I will find my walls painted on and my couches with markers on them, so crafts are kept locked up at all times and I struggle bringing them out, because in my mind, I buy these things to occupy them, so that I get a break.
The struggle is real. .
Who can relate?! .
We welcomed a fourth baby girl over the weekend! She’s the tiniest little thing, just 6lbs 5oz. We’ve known for a few weeks that she might be coming to us but getting the call to go pick her up from the hospital still felt so sudden. My amazing parents took the older three for the weekend so we could have a couple days to adjust and she’s doing great. It’s so crazy to have a newborn again! She’s the sweetest baby and 100% makes up for the lack of sleep in cuteness. ⠀
With foster care, there is always heartbreak that comes with the joy of a new baby. I honestly never expected to be the one to take a baby from her mother’s arms as she cried and I tried to hide my tears. I’m so happy we have a chance to love this baby and keep her safe but I so badly want to do the same for her mom. Driving away from that hospital without her felt so wrong.⠀
Joy, pain, beauty, heartache, fear, hope.
Foster care. ⠀
Sis is the only person in our house who got a full night of sleep last night! On a whim we decided to try Halle and Quinn in their toddler beds and we couldn’t have picked a more terrible night for it. They had a hard time settling down and kept getting up so I had to keep laying them back down, no big deal. This went on until 10 or so when Quinn finally got comfy and stopped. Halle didn’t give up so easy and then to make matters worse it starts storming. It’s super windy and loud so finally at almost midnight I went in and lay down with her for a while. That wasn’t working so I decided to put her in a crib that we still have set up in that room. I go to lay her in it and the power goes out. So now it’s pitch black and she’s even more freaked out. Finally at about 1:30 she falls asleep and I go to bed. At 5am the power kicks back on and I get up to sneak in their room and turn the sound machine back on. I fall back to sleep and wake up sometime later to the fire alarm beeping because the battery died. It’s not even connected to the power, it’s only battery so what freaking timing!! I wake Zac up and he makes it stop. I realized when I got up this morning that he literally threw it out in the yard!!! So yeah, it could have gone better 😂🤦🏼♀️
Before kids, my morning routine was very different. Now, especially with two toddlers running around, my mornings quickly disappear and before I know it...2pm has rolled around and I’m finally having my first cup of “morning coffee” 😂 Anyone else?⠀⠀
If there is one thing I try not to skip in the morning, though, it’s my vitamins! I used to take ACV every morning, too. I’d suffer through that bitter taste, but only because I knew how great it was for my gut.⠀⠀
Thanks to @goligummy, I now have an easier way to incorporate AVC into my life. Have you ever tried them? Because let me tell you, they’re a total GAME CHANGER. Not only do they taste really good, but it’s nice that just two gummies a day:⠀⠀
• help with digestion⠀⠀
• help detoxify⠀⠀
• improve your complexion⠀⠀
• help enhance your energy⠀⠀
• strengthen your Heart⠀⠀
• and help curb your appetite⠀⠀
Amazing benefits aside, they have definitely helped me stay on track, stay motivated, and stick to my minimal morning routine!⠀⠀
If you’d like to try them for yourself, use code: twinningonfumes for 5% off your order! Link in bio✨ If you don’t absolutely love them, you’ll receive a hassle-fee refund! 🙌🏼⠀⠀
Do you have a go-to morning routine? 👈🏼⠀
Huge day with my little mate Kingston today! We went to visit a behavioural optometrist to see why his eyes are turning in. It looks like the next step is the eye clinic at the hospital.... 😞 He did so well with the tests and the drops etc but I have to admit my anxiety is pretty high worrying about what could be next for this wee boy and his eyes. Have any mamas out there been through something similar? A big thank you to the ladies who’ve already messaged me about this! I really appreciate it 💜🌸 PS I did sneak into @glassons and buy a jumper whilst we waited for the drops to work in his eyes 😅 ....
They're my favorite. ♡♡ Indie in the blue shoes, Rowan in yellow.

🇳🇬HAPPY CHILDREN’S DAY🇳🇬.
To these two gems and their baby brother bump. You really keep me on my toes, sleep deprived and full of joy. I wouldn’t have it any other way
I was thinking about children’s day and reading up about how it’s celebrated in Nigeria. It sounds great with lots of parades, outings, and children getting to do adult jobs like reading the news!! Most strikingly, not one mention of gifts being given. You KNOW that would be different if there was children’s day in the UK. Call my cynical but I could see it being turned into a massive excuse for spending money like every other occasion we have
I think as the kids get older (and when we can go out) I’m going to make more of an occasion of this day
What do you think? It children’s day a good idea?
M comes home as I'm about to put kids in the tub.
M: unusual bath night.
Me: *explains my day*
M: are you telling me that my children smell like beets, dog piss, and soggy hat?
M: fair enough, let's skip the hugs, into the tub!
Anay: Although my brother Apar and I don’t get along but I have to admit he is a genius - see- how he turned the elliptical machine into the ride. It was fun to give ride to our cars, buses and dinosaurs 👏. After all they are humans too 🤔🤔.
Homemade playdough turned out to work much better for the extruder toys for strengthening the girls' muscles, encouraging independence and saving my sanity. Before the girls would come up to me every 5 seconds asking for my help to push because it was too hard for them (I even had to make an effort to squeeze out everything). Now the girls can squeeze it out by themselves! They love the extruders. I like that it's strengthening their fingers in preparation for holding a pen and a scissor.
I thought for sure when the twins took their morning nap at 830, they would sleep until 1030. But....... Melody ain't having it and she just woke her sister up as well. #twintoddlers

If you know you know 🤪
I'm loving seeing everyone using lockdown to decorate they're houses and do wee DIY projects. ... And I'm just sitting here looking at the absolute mess the twins are making while I pack all your orders from last night and thinking I'll be redecorating just to keep it at an acceptable level for when we can eventually have visitors never mind and further improvements 😂
P. S thank you all for your orders. Again all tshirts sold out!! We have just one XL 'Fish Brain' tee. Message me to purchase 🥰

Some mornings with toddlers are all snuggles and smiles. Others, your son saves a giant mouthful of yogurt from breakfast, climbs up to the window, dips his finger into his mouth like a paintbrush, and draws pictures on the window with yogurt.
I've got two happy little girls this morning 😍 just been for a walk before it got too hot and home in time for snacks! Wearing @primark and @marksandspencer
One of the many things I never thought I’d have to say...let alone say repeatedly. “No! Don’t bite your brother’s butt!” #twintoddlers#twinmom

Last week we went and walked the old stone bridge going over the Mississippi River. Of course I waited until the last minute to start exploring the place I’ve been living for the last two years 🤣🤦♀️ It’s so funny how when we travel somewhere we spend the whole time exploring that place, but then find it hard to do that in the place we live year round. Anyone else do the same? After Christmas break I made this list of things I wanted to do before we moved this summer and then quarantine happened. 😭 I have a couple weeks left so hoping to see some of those places before we move!
What’s your favorite place to visit in the city you live?
The real meaning of Memorial Day is what I want my girls to know. Sure the BBQ’s & family time is awesome but I want them to know the reason we celebrate Memorial Day. These photos are a throw back from 2018 & 2019!! When we took time to drive out to a field of flags, had a moment to celebrate the people who fought for our country & lost their lives for our freedom today. I will forever be grateful! I’m proud to be an American! 🙏🏼🇺🇸 #TeamUSA
