Finally summer and it came abruptly. Got a very hot day this Pentecost. We went up to Vettan, a German World War II post. It is just over 140 meters above sea level, maybe not as high, but it is very steep up to the post. Stunning sea views. It was good to sit down to have a beer to cool down afterwards.
#2Pac really shot (2) off-duty police officers for attacking a Black man. Think about that for a second. And think about who wouldn’t do that today. He sacrificed so much for his people, and taught so much to his people, all before the age of 25. #GOAT ! #RIP
I'm in between
Friday night wild
And quiet Sunday morning
Done after one
And keep on pouring
Ain't too high
Ain't too low
Just holding down the middle
I'm steady as I go
I ain't all holy water
And I ain't all Jim Beam
I'm somewhere in between.
We essential workers get treated like sh** because it's all people feel they can control right now. We don't have a mask policy because we are afraid of getting shot by these lunatics. Only in America.
#ad I've been working on growing my natural nails with @OPInailsuk Nail Envy original nail strengthener as well as their cuticle oil. Now I can play around with doing cute at-home manis - what do you think of this look? #colouristheanswer#OPIobsessed
I took this photo on May 25th, 2017. There is significance to that date, which is tied to why the city was lit up in green. My day started out in Duluth where I was at a trade show most of the day. I had my camera and gear with me as I knew I wanted to get to the location needed to get this photo as soon as possible. For those of you not from Minnesota, the drive from Duluth to Minneapolis is typically going to be just over 2 hours. I arrived at Tower Hill, where the Witches Hat Tower and is where you go to get this view. I jumped out of my car, grabbed my gear, and made my way up the hill. And up on top of that hill is where I noticed I wasn't anywhere near the only photographer to have the same thought. I had never seen so many photographers up there before. Why were so many of us photographers up there? And why was the city of Minneapolis lit up in green? May 25th, 2017 was the 150th birthday of the Minneapolis Star/Tribune newspaper. And green is the company color. Anyway, the sky was a boring, overcast, yucky shade of grey. There was nothing striking about the photos that any of us were getting. I spent nearly an hour there taking photos, patiently waiting for something to happen. And then right before I was ready to call it quits the horizon lit up in a brilliant dark pink. That was the magic that I was waiting for. I captured this photo in the brief moment that the pink was on the horizon, and then I called it quits. This was the last photo that I took that evening. I have never posted any of the others as they just don't deserve it. If you have somehow missed all of the print giveaway notices for this image, you can copy this link if you can:

@yakimapolice dispatch called businesses tonight reporting credible threats of rioting. At exactly time they warned us to prepare for, shots broke out. Area appears to be clear for the moment. Be safe.
We had enough advance warning my younger staff made it out safely. Bruce, Justin, Bruce's wife, Steve & Steve momentarily posted up inside the building as shots fired. Safely escaped. Everyone is safe. @CityofYakima
I've had the pleasure tonight of people I care about calling me almost crying they were being shot at & texting my daughters' dad "Get out of there!" And telling my kids there were shots fired and I didn't know if everyone was going to make it out safely.
911 dispatch warned us credible threats against my business in @CityofYakima tonight. One of my staff almost crying he was being shot at, saw more shooting driving home. Had to tell my kids their Dad was where shots fired and not sure everyone ok. #stopthisviolence

A slower hand held exposure of ripples thinly covering the sand beneath the setting sun. Countless exposures taken while moving the camera around and observing the lines the ocean created within each image. The lines in this particular image really caught my eye
