COLOR TRANSPORT 🚘🚖🚙
“You’ve got a big job to do, Hayes! Do you think you can transport all of these primary colors and drop them off in the correct location?” CHALLENGE ACCEPTED. ✅
Grab the painter’s tape! (delicate for hard woods) and a handful of Duplos, @plusplususa, or anything you own that has multiple reds, yellows and blues. Then place the colored squares to the right and watch your preschooler get to work moving their BODY left to right (like we track our eyes with reading) on different line formations.. 💪🏼
As Hayes is busy here, I may drop in a little, “whoa! That’s a lot of reds! - in my best I can’t believe you did that voice - How many did you move?!” That way, he can begin to practice associating a number AMOUNT with a number NAME. •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
But if he’s deeeeeeeep in play, I’m probably not going to say a word. 🤐I’ve learned from experience that sometimes interjecting can throw off the game plan 👉🏼and guess what? They get thrown off and may feel as if they have finished. •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
Here’s what’s happening without my help: ✅Primary colors ✅Left to right progression ✅Using the term transportation ✅Connecting the body to prewriting movements
This exploration is a fun way to lend itself right into imaginary play taking its own twists and turns as your toddler/preschooler sees fit.🙌🏼
It brings us so much joy to see the love our older boys have for the quints. They do so much to serve their younger siblings. “Love will come to those who serve... If you want to love someone, serve that person.” (Elder Vaughn J. Featherstone) What a blessing to see loving bonds grow among our children as they learn to serve and care for each other! ❤️ #blessed#grateful#familyfirst#siblinglove
This is not so much a post about my sketchy Pincha Mayurasana..but more about the look on my daughter's face.. She is quite amazed and proud of her Mama Bear in this moment. My heart is full. No need to try again. I got it according to her.

While toys are a wonderful gift idea for your kids, there are definitely a few things to keep in mind before buying them.
Here are a few of them:
Make safety a priority
Before any purchase , do your research to ensure the toy you are buying is perfect for your child and home.
Choose toys that can be used in different ways.
Choose toys that your child can play different games with. Toys like this spark their imagination, and help them develop problem-solving and logical thinking skills.
Examples: Blocks, interlocking blocks, and toys for sand and water play.
Look for toys that will grow with your child.
Have you ever bought toys that your kids play with for a few weeks at most and never touch again?
You can avoid this by looking for toys that can be fun at different developmental stages.
Examples: Plastic toy animals, toddler-friendly dollhouses, trains, and stuffed animals.
Select toys that encourage exploration and problem-solving.
When playing, children get the chance to practice new skills over and over again.
Toys that give kids a chance to figure something out on their own(or with a little coaching) build their logical thinking skills and help them become problem-solvers.
Examples: Puzzles, blocks, art materials like clay, paint, crayons or play-dough
Look for toys that spark your child’s imagination.
By their third year, your kid’s creativity levels begin to develop rapidly.
Look for toys that can be used as he develops and acts out stories because pretend play builds language and literacy skills, problem-solving skills, and the ability to sequence.
Examples: Blocks, toy food and plastic plates, action figures, and stuffed animals.
When next you’re going toy shopping, have these tips in mind.
