It’s been a hot minute since I’ve posted an aesthetic bowl of oats 😂 Honestly I’m always so hungry after my morning walk that making my oats look good for the gram is low on my priority list right now 😅 I don’t know about anyone else but I seem to have set up a pretty solid routine during lockdown, so much so life before lockdown seems like a distant memory and the thought of life after stresses me out a little 👀 I think if this period of time has taught us anything, it’s that we can adapt and adjust to just about anything if we really have to! ● I have realised that this book has empowered me in ways that I didn't even consider empowering, and what I actually considered as being self absorbed, or having an inward approach to everything in life. I realised today why it felt that way for so many years. So, one of the most empowering things I've come across in this book was this.

By itself this statement seems to be more for the spiritually enlightened souls, but it really isn't. What it is, is actually an insight into perspective. How two people living practically the same life, under the same roof, under the same conditions, can turn out so different. Because both these people have been provided with the gift of perception. I thought for the longest time that being guilty for something made you a better person, a more sensitive person, and was constantly drawn to guilt, which was making it a hard life. When I realise that my life is not of anyone else's making, but my own, and I can let go of this helplessness inside me because I've let go of the blame I was putting on everyone around me for making me this, it empowers me to look at life from a different perspective (not a forced one) and to change my reality. It also empowers me to relook at every 'negative' event in my life and understand it better and let go of the negativity attached with it, and hopefully attach some positive meaning to it (which may be a stretch for starters, lol, but we'll get there). There is nothing wrong in one perspective from the other. It is just a matter of what you want your reality to be. And I can only give what I have, and I sure as hell don't want to pass on any guilt to anyone in life. ●
Started the day with my usual live morning yoga class (slay + stretch with @queeniephair x @sweatandtonic) and then went for my daily walk. It took me a while but I’ve learned that movement and fresh air are my only true morning non-negotiables... along with a good cup of coffee ☕️😉 What are yours? Excited to make a trip to the grocery store later and plan some new recipes, do @urban.meets.erban’s boxfit class and then spend the evening on my balcony with a glass of rosé and a good book. Happy Thursday babes ✨💕
