@hakuhongkong opened just two years ago but has already made quiet the name for it self in the foodie community. Chef @agux1988 has been trained in Japan which provides a natural respect for product and a deep understanding of the amazing quality products Japan has to offer. Combining this with more classical techniques from Argentina and the US what you get is Haku a modern Kaiseki restaurant.
First dish on the menu is cold somen noodles with Kristal caviar a bit of plankton and flowers. Cold noodles to cool down is a classic way to start a kaiseki meal. It was refreshing and the plankton provided a very nice balance to the caviar. Instant foodieorgasm and well just plane beautifull as well. For full review see link in bio. Inside “The Dome,” where most of your meal takes place @restaurantalchemist. The ceiling projections change throughout your dinner, transporting you to other worlds while you eat. During our meal we viewed sakura in Japan, the Northern Lights in a Scandinavian forest, and swam under the sea with jellyfish. 🌸✨🌊 #CarnivorrCopenhagen

Our Rooster @cer8n might have a *slight* obsession with the Great British Bake-Off (it was basically all she watched while on maternity leave last year) so she was thrilled to see a British dessert on the menu.
This take on a humble set cream features key lime, mango sorbet, and torched meringue. #goodbake

Today I visited Yoshimi’s famous @wacafegalway and tried the Omakse tasting menu. It was an evening filled with unique taste of Japan, lovely chats and feeling of gratitude. As I was sitting in the restaurant enjoying the food, it came to me that I definitely need to feature Yoshimi in my series of inspiring women I photographed. WA means harmony and it resonates so well with how she is. Her passion, dedication and attention to food is inpressive, but it’s her warmth and natural charm that makes people visiting the restaurant fell in love with japanese food.
This photo was taken a few weeks back for Weekend Magazine @independent.ie feature about authentic Japanese food in Ireland and I a day when Yoshimi became one of the inspiring women that I photographed. Very privileged to meet her and taste her amazing food. 💥 RIB-EYE, LOBSTER TAIL + TENDER CURRY💥
This past week has been filled with delicious curries in celebration of national curry week!
This magnificent selection of dishes is from @farzilondon, just a short walk from Leicester Square & Picadilly Circus. Sophisticated and chic interior, dripping in deep jewel colours and tables spread with the most incredible plates 🍽
We tried a couple of curries - lamb shank (fall off the bone deliciousness) - and the most tender and pleasantly mild chicken tikka masala 🤗 and opted for one of their new menu items: seared scallops with dorset crab sukka & chicory salad, served with a masala buttermilk to pour over the dish. It was so unique and the seasoning in the scallops was something I haven’t seen before! The scallops were succulent and the buttermilk complemented the spices on them perfectly 🥰
The rib-eye and lobster tail was such a treat, and I actually haven’t had such a tasty and juicy rib-eye 😱 the lobster was a great complement for the meat and who can say no to mashed potato?! It’s definitely a special occasion location, and the perfect place for a date, a drink or just grabbing a curry! 🍴🥂 //invite// @farzilondon@adwaiz
Tessa is showing off this lovely Pink Banana Squash which she puts into our riff on the classic tikoy. A sweet rice cake enjoyed in the Philippines during Chinese New Year, we make ours savory with this squash and fermented spinach before topping it with a crispy smelt and ginger air. Talk about flavor explosion 🤩🤯
