Curious fact: Waves do not transport matter - they transport energy. And that's what why surfers can ride ocean ripples. The largest wave ever recorded by humans measured 1,720 feet. It was triggered by an earthquake that hit Alaska's Lituya Bay, on July 9, 1958. In fact, two occupants of a small fishing boat that was in the area surfed that wave and survived to tell the story.
So this is incredibly lame but I'm gonna share it anyway. First off if anyone knows of Surf's Up awesome! If not, it was a subpar movie that came out in 2007 about a penguin wanting to be a surf champion. Insane that it never became that popular, I know.
Anyway, little Nicole saw this movie and absolutely loved Chicken Joe, one of the surfer characters that befriends the main penguino. I remember being drawn to him because of his zen, go-with-the-flow vibe and I remember so badly wanting to adopt his chill attitude.
Sadly I've never been able to quite achieve the vibes Chicken Joe is putting out but that doesn't mean I don't keep trying 🤙🌺 #anxiety#depression#ocd#mentalhealth#mentalhealthawareness#gowiththeflow#chickenjoe#surfsup#surfsupmovie#chickenjoeismyspiritanimal
Aww babe. You shouldn’t have. ☺️ Another beautiful artwork on the side of a building in Old San Juan. As pretty as this neighborhood is, Rincon was the real gem. The beaches, the community, the expats, and the fun-loving, laid back atmosphere. #surfsup#rincon#sanjuan#puertorico#travel
