NOTHING CAN DIM MY LIGHT I REPEAT NOTHING CAN DIM MY LIGHT!!! 👏🏽 •
• I told myself this year is my YEAR! After suffering from a ongoing injury started in June 2018 I was determined to make 2019 MY YEAR! Unfortunately we are 6 months in and I have faced a lot of set backs and I mean ALOT 😂 including surgery on my elbow HOWEVER I am determined not to allow anything negative pull me down! Last year I was extremely emotional allowing everything to get on top of me and really wasn’t myself! However this year that has all changed. My mind is better and stronger! •
• I’m nervous and excited for the new changes and of course challenges ahead! But I really do believe if you put your mind to it ANYTHING is POSSIBLE! If your going through a bad batch keep positive and calm. Everything will work out in the end and you will be fine. Have faith and believe that you can achieve ANYTHING 😘💖
• Also LOOK at me wearing a flowery dress 😂 It really is a new me! 😂 If you know me I would NEVER wear this type of stuff! •

I woke up this morning (way too early!) so grateful for the tribe @amanda.adamcheck is creating with her 4-day challenge. All these amazing entrepreneurs and their stories, products, services, and smiles! Here is my morning note to you. ❤️🦄
"you're so lucky, I don't have time to go to the gym"🤦⠀⠀
Let's just talk about this for a second. ⠀⠀
Edit: mums with very little ones, you have a legitimate reason to say this to me, hang in there, your time will come! Everyone else 👇⠀
I am FOUR years into my health / fitness journey. That's some SLOW ass progress. ⠀⠀
When I say the key to improving your body is through lifting weights and a good diet it's not because I found it EASY, it's because I found it fucking HARD and through trial/error, hardwork and shear stubbornness I kept getting back up whenever I was knocked down. ⠀⠀
I've suffered from depression and anxiety for as long as I can remember. I've been off medication for 433 days 🙌 which was soon after I started lifting weights (this is 80% of the reason I recommend it for everyone who is physically able!). Was it easy stepping into a gym when I'd had panic attacks stepping into Tesco? Absolutely not! ⠀⠀
As you may already know, I have three children, what you may not know is my 9yo has Autism. ⠀⠀
I don't work because I don't have the support system I'd need. It upsets me deeply that I can't contribute to my family financially. If I could work I'd still make the time because it's important to me and let's be honest, if you can find the time to watch TV you have the time to work on yourself. ⠀⠀
I'm not lucky. I've just worked harder than I've complained. ⠀⠀
🔥Building a stronger body and mind 🔥⠀⠀⠀⠀
So after my poll yesterday most people said they struggled with diet over exercise.
Do you know how many calories you should be having to see results?
It's awesome that you’re doing the workouts and feeling fitter but if you want to see results then thats down to nutrition.
You have probably heard the saying "You cant out train a bad diet" and basically thats true.
So first things to get right is your total number of calories you’re eating. In order to lose weight its a case of energy in (calories) needs to less than the energy (calories) burnt in the day. And it doesn't need to be by much. a calorie deficit of 50-250 a day will do just fine. If you cut more than 250 calories a day you may find yourself to be very hungry and won't be able to sustain it. ========================================= Here's the math.
Body weight in lbs X 10 = Total base line calories
so a 150lb person would need to eat 1500 calories a day.
Note: This is a very rough guideline based on the average person and if you are overweight or underweight your numbers will come up very high or very low so there is wriggle rom. remember calories are the most important factor to hit.
The second most important factor is Protein content. Ideally hitting 40% protein a day would be ideal. Then split the remaining calories between fats and carbs.
