Turns out “cycling interval” is a wee bit tougher than just regular “cycling” 😂. Also could be that my legs were already a bit tired before I even started and it was early in the morning, but woof! I’ve never been much of a class person but it’s been nice to ease back into some workouts and not have to think too much about what I’m doing. I can certainly see spin classes becoming a part of my weekly routine. TBD if I try any other classes in the next couple weeks as well.
Because I don’t have any super specific fitness goals (ie bodybuilding or marathon running, etc) and rather am just working towards a well rounded level of health and fitness, I can focus on just moving my body in whatever way sounds fun to me that day. I think a good majority of us just are working to achieve good health so if you fall into that category, don’t be afraid to mix up your workouts and do what sounds good to you that day whether it be weightlifting, cardio, yoga, a walk or anything in between. You’re a heck of a lot less likely to get burnt out about exercise if you’re making the choice each morning to do what you enjoy!

Why do I love #spinclass? #swipeleft⬅️ to see the results. I do it first thing so I don't have time for excuses. There are always reasons to skip it, but I feel mentally and physically charged and full of gratitude when I don't.
Last night team Cycles Galleria attended @amygillettfdn fundraising event run by @cyclecollective and like last year, it was the most fun on bikes we’ve had!
So much sweat, so many cheers, so many watts, so many great people, so much team work...soo many beers!
Cycles Galleria managed to raise approximately $610 for the foundation in both entries and the silent auction. Now we wait...for next year! Thanks CC!
What a great day! I always look for the positives in my day. No matter what curveballs life throws at you, there is always something to be thankful for. .
I had Another amazing workout tonight.....It was like a dance party spin class. So. Much. Fun!

This is my last Friday before the @iheartmacros cut challenge starts. My @mypeakchallenge challenge month will be my most difficult to date. I am doing something as a #peaker I have never done. First, I joined a gym for 30 days. (Free 30 day pass but maybe I’ll stick around) 😉
I have been given a major macro counting meal plan, and it’s going to be rough. It isn’t permanent. It’s a challenge. I’ll go back to eating some donuts and pizza like a boss! Who knows??? Maybe I’ll be able to squeeze one in during my month? But, this is me pushing myself for 30 days and saying “holy crap, I did it!!” Among other choice words, I am sure.
Last night I did a spin class. Have you ever done a spin class? You know, if you know..... ouch.
It was rough. But, I had a BLAST!! Now to ice my lower parts and pray for feeling to come back. 😬😆

PS. The spin class pic was at the last part of an hour class. I was asked... do you sweat?? Which I do, but not tons. It’s just my body. In high heat yes I do. But not much. Basically I was called a Unicorn, so that’s cool.🦄

Exercise feels hard when you’re going through it. Like you can’t even take a sip of your water bottle because you can’t hold your breath for that long. Like your heart is about to jump out of your chest & you are choking 😝 And yet. I go back, again and again, because the post workout feel with all the endorphins is dreamy & the strength i build feels gooood.
Stretching & electrolytes avoid cramps later, and that lil perfume makes me feel pretty again.
What about YOU? Do you workout? Like it? Hate it? .
