This week we’re seeding our first succession of snapdragons! We grew some really nice, long stemmed beauties last year. On another note, we will still be accepting applications for our seasonal employment opportunities over the next couple of weeks. For more info, check out our website or email me [email protected] We are also excited to host volunteers through @wwoofusa again! In addition to helping us with our flower production, we are working on a fun project list for WWOOFers, things like hiking trail creation, building bug hotels and more.
This Snapdragon Madame Butterfly Cherry Bronze reminds me of an ice cream cone on a hot summer day!!! This is one of my favorites and I love how it fades!!! #snapdragon

#FreshFlowers didn’t quite happen this Friday, but we still managed to find an open shop today that sold me these amazing #snapdragons and these super bright #SpiderMums to help me keep my colors in balance! I’m already loving how the #snapdragons are filling my hall with their not-quite-#dracarys breath! I will need all the calming help I can get this week! 🥰
Locally grown snapdragons paired with hydrangea leaves.
Arrangements don’t have to be complex and finicky to be effective. Sometimes just one or two contrasting colours does the trick
We like simple 💚 #sustainablefloristry

Sony Xperia 10 II arrives with big battery and Snapdragon 665
The Xperia 1 II flagship and Xperia Pro professional tool were were the stars of today's Sony event, but the Xperia 10 II (pronounced Xperia Ten Mark Two) might well become the best seller.
The phone brings an efficient Snapdragon 665 chipset (4GB RAM, 128GB storage), three cameras (ultrawide, regular and telephone) and the biggest battery of any Sony mid-ranger to date.
The Xperia 10 II packs a 6” OLED panel with a 21:9 CinemaWide ratio and Full HD+ resolution.
It has an 8MP ultrawide angle shooter with 16mm focal length equivalent, a 12MP main snapper with PDAF and an 8MP 2x telephoto shooter, all lined vertically in the upper left corner.
The front-facing camera has an 8MP senor and is placed in a waterdrop notch in the center of the screen.
Sony proudly announced the Xperia 10 II is about 10% lighter than its predecessor Xperia 10 despite being slightly wider and taller. The battery is 3,600 mAh which is over 25% more than last year's model. There is also Xperia Adaptive Charging that adjusts levels of power going to the cell so it prolongs the live of your battery.
Despite the increase in battery capacity, Sony managed to keep the Xperia 10 II slightly thinner than its predecessor. It is also water and dust tight with IP65/68 rating and has the latest Gorilla Glass 6 on the front and back.
Xperia 10 II comes in Black and White in Spring 2020. Pricing is yet to be detailed.

It’s literally like spring outside right now. It feels like a late March day, it’s glorious! We were away on the weekend and there were robins already! Spring fever has definitely struck. I’m going to be starting on of these snapdragons tonight. I’m not sure what it is but snapdragons are one of my favourite flowers to grow if not my favourite.

Realme X50 Pro 5G debuts with SD865, 65W charging and six cameras
Realme equipped the X50 Pro with a 6.44” FullHD+ Super AMOLED display with 90Hz refresh rate, which is sitting behind a sheet of Gorilla Glass 5. There is a scanner underneath the panel.
The Snapdragon 865 chipset is coupled with a 5G modem and up to 12 GB LPDDR5 RAM (there are also 6GB and 8GB options). Storage-wise, the X50 Pro will have either 128GB or 256 GB UFS 3.0 with TurboWrite and Host Performance Booster that enable writing and reading speeds up to 760 MB/s and 1900 MB/s, respectively.
Realme X50 Pro has four cameras on the back with the main one using a 64MP Samsung ISOCELL GW1 sensor behind F/1.8 lens. It's a Tetracell imager that normally outputs 16MP images in with 4-to-1 pixel binning.
It's joined by an 8MP F/2.3 ultrawide-angle shooter with PDAF and 119-degree FoV and a 12MP 2x telephoto camera behind F/2.5 lens. Finally there's the B&W portrait module that's basically a depth sensor for enhancing your bokkeh shots.
There are two more shooters in a pill-shapped punch hole at the front. A large 32MP Sony IMX616 sensor is joined by an 8MP ultrawide module.
Realme X50 Pro arrived with 65W SuperDart Flash Charge support that lets you fill the 4,200 mAh battery inside in 35 minutes, while in just 20 minutes it can get up to 60%, which should get you through the day. The charger inside the retail package is of the GaN variety, meaning it's smaller and more efficient than current Super VOOC 2.0 chargers.
The phone will arrive with its the company's custom Realme UI based on Android 10.
The Realme will go on sale in Moss Green and Rust Red. It will cost €599 for the base
8GB+128GB configuration, €669 for double the storage and €749 for the top 12GB/256GB version.
Sony Xperia Pro
Sony says the Xperia Pro is a professional solution rather than phone it expects to sell in an electronics shop close to you.
It still in development, which means that its full specs sheet isn't confirmed yet. What we know is the Pro shares the display and camera setup with the 1 mark II. It will come with an HDMI port and seamless integration with Sony Alpha cameras that can use it as a viewfinder and then leverage its 5G connection to act as a broadcasting device. A customizable shortcut key on its side will let you launch any app in an instant.
The Pro will double the storage to 512GB and feature a sturdier body - its tectured back is inspired by the Alpha cameras and should provide excellent grip.
The Xperia Pro has a unique 4-way 5G mmWave antenna arrangement, meaning, in theory, it could broadcast with speeds that can reach 5 Gbps or faster, provided the phone has a clear sight to a 5G antenna (which is the main downside of the mmWave technology). Currently, AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon are implementing mmWave networks in the States, while only Sprint relies on the Sub6 spectrum. That is probably why the Xperia Pro won’t be offered in Europe. Further details about its release and pricing will follow.

It’s my first year growing snapdragon flowers and I check on them every single day to see if there are any blooms. Today I noticed a difference in the color of the top leaves. I’m going to be checking them every few hours now just to make sure I don’t miss anything 😆 #snapdragons#redsnapdragon#raisedbedgarden#pollinatorgarden

I've woken with vertigo today, so have had to stay home from work.
Wish I was able to take a walk in my garden, instead of being stuck on the couch.
This is a photo of my girls' favourite garden bed at the moment.

I always love wrapping up our year with the Top Nine app, seeing your favourite posts from the year is so much fun for me and 2019 definitely did not disappoint! So much beauty (and holy moly a whole lotta pink!!) So proud of this little flower farm I am building and cannot wait to create even more floral goodness in 2020!!
Day 14: today we got to go into the greenhouse and we used the 200 seed pods and planted snapdragons and petunias. We also got to use the sawmill and cut the log into slabs, here’s a video of it. pic.twitter.com/yoFbQY6WQ0

Sony Xperia 1 Mk II arrives with SD865, impressive camera setup
This year’s Sony flagship is built around a 6.5” 4K HDR OLED panel with the now-familiar 21:9 cinematic ratio. Sony skipped on a high refresh rate screen and chose to implement Motion Blur Reduction instead. It claims to match the benefits of a 90Hz display by analyzing what's on the screen and adjusting individual frames.
This time the trio of cameras is positioned on the left side, unlike the initial Xperia 1 that had the setup in the center. The resolutions are unchanged - 12MP main + 12MP ultrawide + 12MP telephoto, but the new setup brings bigger sensors and faster lenses, which for the first time carry the ZEISS branding. The front-facing camera is an 8MP unit sitting in the top bezel.
The top module at the back is the ultrawide angle shooter with a 16 mm equivalent focal length and f/2.2 aperture and 1/2.6" sensor with Dual-PD AF.
Then there's the telephoto shooter with 70 mm equivalent focal length, f/2.4 stabilized lens and 1/3.4 with PD AF in the middle.
The main shooter of the Sony Xperia 1 II has a very big 1/1.7” Exmor sensor with Dual PD AF sensor and OIS. It also has the brightest lens - f/1.7. Sandwiched between the main and telephoto cameras is the 3D iTOF sensor.
The Japanese company proudly announced the new cameras are calibrated by ZEISS specifically for the Xperia phone, with ZEISS T* anti-reflective coating that was previously available only in professional lenses.
The Sony Xperia 1 II is powered by the Snapdragon 865 compete with the 5G modem that works on sub6 networks. It has 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
The phone is rated IP65/IP68 for water and dust protection and has a 4,000 mAh with wireless charging support inside. Excitingly enough it brings back the 3.5mm audio jack.
The Sony Xperia 1 Mk II is coming in Q2, but its pricing details are yet to be confirmed.
I wish I could remember who these yellow snaps were from in last years @frugalgardenseedswap because they grew like crazy! I usually have little patience for an abundance of teeny tiny seeds but I took the challenge, sprinkled them into a tray and painstakingly transplanted what seemed to be 1000 snaps.😆 They were slightly lanky but all survived and grew beautifully. What a show in the garden and they made gorgeous arrangements.
The loveliest lavender snaps, because I’m feeling a little stressed about the wild weather headed our way! Lots of rain followed by freezing temps, but thankfully I’ve got some reinforcements arriving Thursday!
