👋🏼 hello! I’ve recently had some new followers and haven’t shown my face for a while so it’s time to come out of hiding 😊 Thanks everyone for all the continued support, I know small businesses harp on about it all the time but it’s down to you that we get to put food on our tables. Retail has been tough, Instagram is a tricky monkey and that’s without a host of personal stuff in the mix but Smallprint is still standing so three cheers to resilience, cost cutting and being ballsy enough to have a go! I’ve got books to share and I ain’t going anywhere 🤣
You might have noticed that I haven't been so present in my social media lately. I'm still here, working away on some client projects behind the scenes (that I can't wait to release into the wild!)
I'm on a mission to be as candid and authentic with you guys as possible (while still having a semi-private life and staying sane). I want to let you in on the fact that I'm experiencing a massive season of change in my life. I don't mean this in a bad way at all- just lots of shifting, adapting, evaluating, and reflecting. I lost myself a bit in 2019. My family experienced a really difficult tragedy. My business took off in an amazing way. I'm still trying to process everything that has happened and is happening.
I moved across the world early 2018, and moved back to Canada abruptly a few months ago to be with my family. I move back to the place I consider "home" now, in 4 days time. I'm literally sick with excitement and gratitude with the knowledge that I've been able to create this life that is completely centered around what I love wholeheartedly.
I mentioned in an interview recently that when I found design, it felt like coming home. Over the next couple of weeks, I'm coming home to myself in so many ways. I'm shifting my focus to processing, authentic creating, self-care, and re-defining my values and where I will be spending my time and heart-energy over the next six months.
I'm so grateful to get to share this time with you guys. I'm so excited to take my passion and love and use my whole heart to work alongside some of you on your brands during the remainder of 2019. I know that the saying "if you love what you do, you'll never work a day in your life" is overused and cheesy, but I'm truly in awe at the way it resonates with how I feel about Honey & Co. Creative. Thank you guys for allowing me to live my dream in the most authentic way possible. Thank you for being so kind, and thank you for following along.

Ever taken a step back from something you LOVE out of faith? It’s been one month since I finished and shared our latest design project, one month since taking on a new one, and will be six more weeks until I schedule a new project consultation. The time away from this passion has already opened the door for the most incredible moments with my children. The conversations, the play, the laughter; I will cherish this summer in my heart. But man am I excited to get back to this work I get to do when fall comes. Three consultations already lined up when the kids go back to school! Have a wonderful day, friends!

Already missing these gorgeous island views, but also so happy to be back home with my pup and back to work with @belleandbell ☀️ Plus, we have a doc appointment and get to see the little ones later this morning, which always makes for a good day! 👶🏼👶🏼⠀
New stuff is coming SO soon from B&B and I can’t wait to show you all! (Hints - new shorts, new colors in leggings, new tanks... all the things!)⠀
Hope everyone has the best Wednesday! 🖤
It’s raining in Tacoma again....but we’ve got coffee and flowers and all is well. Feeling all the chill vibes today 🤙🏽 Just a couple of tropical bouquets left at Little Sister! What kind of blooms do you want to see in next weeks bouquets??
If you’re gonna fly you’ve got to try. Use all the tools 🛠 in your personal 🧰: they’re different to everyone else’s, but don’t be afraid to dream or to dare. Don’t be afraid to trip, fall, cry, shout, laugh, live, love 💖

I've seen quite a few people online today complaining about the change on how Instagram likes appear.
For those who haven't noticed, Instagram has rolled out a change that means that as you scroll through your feed, the number of likes a post has received won't be shown. It will show 'Liked by xxxx and others' but not a number. You can click on the 'others' and see who has liked the post but there will be no number.
👉 You can still see the total of your own likes.
I'm surprised at the negative reaction to be honest. Who cares if someone else's post has 5 likes or 500 likes - what matters is if its relevant or not to you. If you like it, like it. How many people have liked it before you should not come into play.
At the end of the day the only likes you should even be interested in are your own. And nothing has changed there.
Social Media changes all.the.time.
Personally this change won't effect how I use Instagram but for some it may.
How do you feel about the missing number?
Did you notice the change today?
