8 Effective solutions for oily skin
The simple, healing properties of milk will take care of your oily skin problems. Simply soak a cotton ball in milk and wipe your face with it twice a day
Orange concentrate has high levels of Vitamin C that is very good for the skin. Squeeze half an orange into a bowl and apply it on your face with the help of a cotton ball. Keep it on for about ten to fifteen minutes before washing off.
3.Sandalwood and Turmeric
A paste made from sandalwood and turmeric can be used for both the head and the face. Mix sandalwood and turmeric powder, and add water (or lemon concentrate) to it. Then spread this paste on your face and head, and wait for about ten to fifteen minutes before washing off.
It would be prudent and useful to simply grow Aloe at home since this plant can cure nearly any dermatology-related issue. Otherwise, Aloe leaves are easily available at supermarkets. Aloe works as an anti-inflammatory agent. Cut the green layers off the leaf and you are left with a transparent, slimy, gel-like substance. In a bowl, mash this gel with your fingers as best as you can. Then apply this on your face and hair, and keep it on for about ten minutes or till it’s dry. Then, wash off. This can be the best ayurvedic face wash for oily skin.
This honey treatment is meant specifically for the hair. Mix one egg yolk with two tablespoons of honey. Add some lukewarm water and mix it. Apply this paste directly on the scalp. Leave it on for a couple of hours and then wash off thoroughly.
Warm some water to make it lukewarm. With a swab of cotton, wipe your face well. This will remove all the dirt from the pores of your face. Then, take an ice out from the freezer and rub it all over your face, especially the “T” zone. This closes up the pores on your face. Do this once a day for a few weeks for slow yet satisfying results.
7.Eggs and Lemon
Apart from sounding like the name of a continental breakfast, a mixture of egg yolk and lemon juice is a perfect cure for an oily scalp. Mix the concentrate of two lemons with two eggs. Rub this paste onto your scalp and keep it on for about an hour. Then wash off

Another empty pH balancing toner, this time from @cosrx.
I purchased #COSRX’s Low Ph Pha Barrier Mist as my curiosity on PHA’s got the better of me. If you’ve not heard of PHAs, or polyhydroxy acids, you’re not alone. They closely resemble AHAs in terms of their chemical structure and effects on the skin but without the irritation- most likely as a result of their larger molecule size. The bigger the molecule, the less penetration. The less penetration, the less irritation!I In fact, PHA is so gentle that those with rosacea or atopic dermatitis can comfortably use it. If your skin is sensitive it’s a must try. Mine isn’t, so you’ll need to pry my AHAs out of my cold dead hands (that said I did enjoy trying something new).
In comparison to Indie Lee’s CoQ-10 Toner, COSRX’s Low Ph Pha Barrier Mist has a solid pH level of 4.0 which makes it ideal for pH dependent actives (as mentioned in my previous post). It’s also 98.1% Coconut Fruit Extract, so if you’re fond of coconut’s emollient properties you may like this product.
🌱ACTIBARRIER strong moist pH toner and strong moist cream_intensive🌱
I initially got these products due to how unfamiliar I was with this brand. I was shocked considering how great their packaging looks and how mild their ingredients seemed. Then after further research I found that it was a collaborative project between a German science firm called bitop and Korean powerhouse Missha.
One of bitop’s biggest editions to the product was their own ingredient they invented within their labs, by the name of ectoin. According to Paula’s Choice and Bitop’s website, this ingredient is basically a synthetic emollient with super powers. Some studies say it can act as an antioxidant. It can apparently protect the skin from environmental stressors, such as natural light and pollutants. ———
🌱Strong Moist ph Toner - This toner is like an awesome medium. It’s not too watery but not too thick so it just absorbs into the skin really easily. It’s so soothing! Unlike most toners targeted towards customers with weak skin barriers, this has tons of antioxidants and good ingredients. You don’t get the feeling that you’re just putting glycerin and water on your face. The ingredients are good to the point where I’d honestly say this is close to what western consumers would call a serum. It includes Hyaluronic acid, copper tripeptide, panthenol, ceramide, and much much more. I honestly just layer it 2-3 times and feel just like I slapped on essence and serum. ———
🌱Strong Moist Cream_Intensive - I opted in getting the intensive version because I prefer a more nourishing cream. Especially because... winter is coming.... Lol. While this cream has many of the same ingredients as it’s companion toner it seems to have one ingredient I WOULDVE loved to see in the toner. Niacinamide!!! My skin texture looks smooth, my pores feel amazing after months of breakout due to college/secondary school eating habits. And it’s so nice on the skin. It looks sort of semi-matte when you rub it in, but it’s definitely not drying. —
