"Praying in My Name—with perseverance— can accomplish great things. Learn from the parable of the persistent widow, who refused to give up. She kept bringing her petition to a judge who neither feared God nor cared about men. Eventually, her persistence wore him down, and he gave her what she sought. How much more will I respond to My children who cry out to Me day and night! Though you may have to wait a long time, do not give up. For everyone who asks and keeps on asking receives; he who seeks and keeps on seeking finds." - Jesus Today
Just like this mama, I remember thinking I was literally the only woman on the planet suffering after I brought my son home from the hospital. I didn't really understand what postpartum depression and anxiety were. I didn't think that could happen to me, so I just thought I was failing at what it seemed like every other woman was such a rockstar at. I thought I was the only mom who sucked at motherhood and also wanted nothing to do with it. And the shame from feeling like this and thinking you are the only one...I think that knowing just how many women go through similar experiences each year would have helped so much--helped with the shame, helped with how horrible I felt about myself, and helped with sharing my suffering and asking for help sooner. Did you feel like the only one too?

The thing is, I'm not changing myself to fit the mould you desire.
This is a common theme I see in relationships.
We try to shape others behaviours because of our own trauma. And when have you dealt with your shit enough to begin to self-realize that your partners behaviour is exactly them, in their uniqueness, even when it triggers you. Those triggers show you your shadows.
Now this can feel like a noose around the throat, a piece that tells the reptilian brain that we are under control. As if what we are doing isn't enough.
Truth is, you're doing more then enough, you're actually amazing and it's simply your partners painbody that is reacting to their past experiences, unable to hold themselves they look to you to either a)fix their problem or b)not cause them pain.
Unconditional love sits in the middle of the bullshit.
In a world where we try to understand 'love' languages and understand erotic expression and try to make relationships work..
In the middle sits love itself.
Not trying to be or do anything itself. Love is the very expression of life moving through.
Come join me for a small group I'm hosting next week which is all about Owning your Cock.

Use your trials, low points and bottom to push off and fly higher than ever before. When I was in high school, I had a diving accident that left me with a broken nose and required surgery to get things centered up again. In the downtime, before I was healed and could dive again, I began writing for the local newspaper covering our town’s swimming and diving meets. Those early articles were my first published works. I recall using the thesaurus... A LOT. 😂 I was unsure if I’d return to diving or if I’d be too afraid. But with the help and encouragement of my coaches, family, teammates and friends, I was able to come back and do dives I’d been too afraid to attempt before. Sometimes pain can make us fearful, but when faced, it can make us just the right amount fearless.
