THE ANSWER TO YOUR PROBLEM IS TO SIMPLIFY.⠀
We tend to make things harder than necessary, but the solution is really simple. ⠀
Live within your means. ⠀
Stop trying to impress people with what you own and putting yourself further into debt. ⠀
Practice saying no and don't feel guilty. ⠀
It's a radical shift in mindset and perspective, but this is YOUR life and you don't owe anyone an explanation for how you choose to live it. ⠀
You only get one shot at this thing called life. Take back your power and LIVE. ⠀

SIMPLICITY IS BEAUTY
The holidays are the perfect time of year to reflect and reset. 🎄💕What's been weighing down your to-do list and mental energy? Could you outsource it or let it go?

"We've survived a Conservative government before"
“Politics brings out the worst in people”
“Wow, the name calling is vicious”
Do you know why it’s vicious? People are upset. Don’t try and sweep that under the carpet. When you say “we’ve survived a conservative government before” yes. Yes YOU AND I have. 130,000 people haven’t because of austerity. It’s bringing out the anger and hate in people because those who are most vulnerable, in need, poor, are the ones who aren’t privileged enough to not be impacted by this decision.
You might not consider yourself privileged - it usually brings up imagery of grandeur and wealth - but if you have been comfortable for the past 9 years and haven’t been impacted a great deal by the government then, you’re privileged. Myself included. I’ve managed to go to uni, do different jobs - LEAVE jobs I didn’t like and not worry about it, buy a house, not worry about money day to day. That’s a privileged life. If you haven’t then used this privilege to help others, I honestly don’t know what to say to you.
If you’ve voted because the conservatives are of benefit to you and your close family, despite the racist, bigoted, xenophobic, elitist, classist leader and policies that eradicate equality for those who identity as LGBTQ+, who don’t give a hoot for those with needs - physical and mental - who are happy to see teachers buy their own classroom supplies and nurses use food banks because their wages aren’t enough, who don’t see any urgency in the climate crisis, if you’ve still voted conservative to benefit yourself despite all that, you are selfish.
I’m sorry those of us who are privileged did not help those in need and we failed to use our voices to uplift yours. I hoped enough people would see past their own personal situations but I guess that’s too much to ask.
If this has offended you, it’s says more about you and your conscience than it does about me and mine. Not my prime minister. Not my government. #forthemanynotthefew#notmyprimeminister 🌹
