A new week! And after a great sleep (Freya slept till 7am! She rarely does that!) I feel ready to tackle a new week, I’ve got so much to do so first thing is first, a list! I love a list! Matt is back to work and over that horrendous bug, Freya is with Matts dad today so I have the day to get as much done as possible. Have a great new week guys! It's official! Joe and I are finally free from consumer debt for the first time in about 15 years and it only took me 14 months to pay it off. 🤦 And to be super honest here, I didn't celebrate or cheer. Instead I cried. These past 14 months weren't easy and my choices were often misunderstood and sometimes unintentionally hurt the feelings of some of my family and vice versa. Keep in mind, just because I chose to get us out of debt, doesn't necessarily mean everyone else in my house was on board. Oh sure, the idea of it is wonderful but actually tackling it is a completely different story, as I'm sure those of you in this same journey can attest. One way I helped them to understand was to point out how much money goes into the bank's pocket. So let's say you pay on average, $200 a month in interest for 15 years. That totals $36,000 that you paid the bank for nothing else other than loaning you some money. That's not okay. So whether you're just starting out, right in the middle of it or nearing the end, DON'T. GIVE. UP!.
Last month's debt update: I removed the Ireland trip because it's a gift and not something I am currently in debt for. Also, the Ortho bill was reduced by $560 after the insurance payment so we were able to pay it off a few weeks ago. And as I mentioned before, the total debt I paid off is probably more than $29k but I forgot to keep track in the beginning of this journey.
So I'm done crying and I definitely plan on celebrating but I just don't know when. I think I forgot how to spend money! 😁

Distilled from the leaves, stems and flower buds, Peppermint EO is known to be a refreshing oil. It is a hot oil, meaning it is advised to dilute it whenever you apply it topically.
Some of its other uses:
- May help with minor digestive concerns
- Its aroma is uplifting and promotes focus
- May be helpful with head tension
- Makes a great massage oil as it's soothing to the muscles
- May help the body keep cool during hot days (very apt in our country!)
Seasonal Support Blend
1 drop Lemon
1 drop Lavender
1 drop Peppermint
Put in your diffuser or in a black inhaler and enjoy mornings without the early achooos and runny noses ;)
To our not-yet oily friends, have you tried Peppermint?
To our oily friends, how do you like Peppermint?

Today we are finally getting back to our normal summer schedule after being on vacation all last week. As much as I lovvvveeed ❤️ being on vacation with my family, I feel like we all desperately need to return to routine (especially my kids!).
While I want my kids to have a fun and carefree summer, they NEED some sort of light structure (trust me, they do 🤣).
I use this little pocket chart (from dollar tree!) to map out their days for them in the summer. They are probably getting a little old for this format but they LOVE it so 🤷🏻♀️.
They love knowing what to expect each day and it helps keep me accountable for the structure of the day...sometimes I find myself trying to cram way too much into the day and I have to remind myself that my 6 year old can’t hang like that 🤣.
Eventually I’m going to write a blog post about how I stay organized for summer but for now I just wanted to share our simple summer schedule ❤️
