Momentum is a real thing. And I’ve been fortunate to feel a lot of it in the last few weeks.
As my first @aretesyndicate Summit begins this morning, I am incredibly excited for what the next 9-12 months has in store.
And grateful for the opportunities before me.
Comment below with something amazing going on in your life that you are excited about!

Keep following your dreams and work on bringing that passion into your work 📷: @theeverygirl
I don’t get lucky, I create my own luck.
I used to be afraid that the first time that I would do something successfully would be the last. .
That it would just be luck that it worked out.
I constantly thought about that and was worried that it was the last time that I was going to create something and have it do well. Then, I started something else and applied the same hard work I had to the first business and magically it did well too.
Then I realized it wasn’t luck. It wasn’t magic that made it work. It was a simple formula that can make any business work out for you if you apply it. It’s very simple but it isn’t easy.
All it is is finding something that could work. Something that someone else is doing successfully and you can replicate. Then take that, learn it and give it everything you have. Work at it and continue to learn the ins and outs and soon enough you have something that works and makes you money. It’s that simple. Again, it isn’t easy and you’ll have to put in the time to make it work but that’s all up to you. Not luck. It’s all you.
Continue to do that and you can have anything you want work out for you. People see it as luck and think its luck, but those people are the ones that don’t want to put in the work. It’s easier to tell everyone it was just luck and they just didn’t grow up lucky that’s why they don’t have what others do.
Don’t be that guy. Create your own “luck”.
Do you have a hero? I know its cliché, but mine is my Dad (and Malala but that's for another day). My Dad planted the seed of entrepreneurialism in me young. Every time I'd make something, instead of being proud and saying "Thanks, I'll hang it on the wall", he'd say "Cool- you could sell this!" My first painted rocks, my first choreographed dance, my first friendship bracelet- "You could sell this!" Without knowing it, he showed me that my creativity held value, that it could be a career, and that there was no shame in selling it. It has become a great passion of mine to develop creative ideas, determine their value to potential clients and figure out how to sell them in the most authentic way. This is a skill I'm still learning and hope that I continue to improve for a long time to come. Honestly, my dad is amazing and full of terrible puns and endless insight. I should really share more of it with you.

Currently sunning it and camping in Il de Re (France) for 2 weeks with family and lots of friends 🏖 Not something I’ve done for a looong while, (a 2-weeker) especially during the height of wedding season but my oh my it’s been needed👌🏻 I’m in the 2nd week of being away and I feel a LONG way away from work 🏖 So much so I’ve had to find WiFi on the campsite where I’m staying to check-in/update/reply to people because I’m beginning to think (at night) about the stuff that needs doing and will do when I’m back and I’m not about to let it ruin my last week away! .
Hi there Monday!
Kiddo was home with a stomach bug for 4 days so I'm extra excited to get to work today!
I took myself out for coffee to reconfigure what I can realistically get done before the weekend. I look at
1. what's urgent (order flowers for mom's birthday on Friday)
2. what I enjoy doing (academic research, preparing the next interviews, writing the next 3-5 features for @socialventurers), and
3. what makes me feel good when accomplished because I've been putting it off for too long (canceling daycare waitlists, scheduling my bike tune-up.
Hope you're getting through the mid-week slump👊
And props to my 🤳 game!
I've received emails from followers stating this post has helped them gain followers/leads. 🙌🏽 Shoutout your brand and let us all know what you do!

Something I was taught from a young age is that lifelong learning is the key to success. My parents, with their house of crossword puzzles and reference books, encouraged learning in every situation, and instilled a passion for knowledge that I still have today. I find it refreshing to learn new things, and I love to share that knowledge with others. The known can become stale and repetitive, so expanding my knowledge keeps my life exciting and also helps my brain stay active.⠀
Throughout my blogging journey I've undertaken a lot of learning so far - articles, webinars, online courses, and ebooks. There are so many ways to gain knowledge, and I'm always excited when a new learning opportunity comes my way. I've got so many I want to take part in that my learning list is almost as long as my TBR! It's a positive sign though, and I believe that my passion for learning is what has really helped me to excel far more than I thought I would have done by this stage.⠀
I've still got a long way to go, and so that means learning and absorbing whatever I can. I want to learn more about SEO, brand collaboration, and social media marketing, plus I'm excited to delve into the world of non-fiction writing and course creation and see what I can gain from that. Learning is a process, but one of the most beneficial things one can do to rise up to the challenges that they face.⠀
What are your learning goals for the next week, the next month, and the rest of the year? Let me know in the comments! ⠀
