At least Sheffield City Council is listening to the science, even if our government isn't.

Hi! I’m Jade, the team’s media person this year (the guy in the last pic). My nominal role: taking photos around the shop and sharing their stories. But since we’re all at home now, I thought I'd take the chance to try some new things here.
I’m guessing not all of you are familiar with the engineering and science of solar vehicles. Either way, we’re glad you’re here! In the past, we shared facts during our road trip/drive test… which has been cancelled. So instead, starting next week, for "Fundamentals Friday," I'll post monthly bits of info and explanation, about basic things we think about when designing and building. They’ll be more in-depth than similar posts before them, but hopefully not too technical.
Comment or toss me a message if there's anything—no matter how simple—that you might want to hear about!
In the meantime, enjoy some photos of #nimbus2020 in a wind tunnel (a hint, maybe?) #science #car
Oie Pessoal, hoje vamos dar início a toda nossa escrita do projeto.
• Anunciar a ideia básica

⭐ Think about that! ⭐ Your skin is not a playground, where you should play around with different products every 3 months or over do it with too many products, or follow whatever the "New thing" is. And guess what? Just because something is natural doesn't mean it's safe! Even natural things need to be carefully studied along with health and skin conditions. 🌱Natural and organic are also treated just like a drug.
Your skin should be in the hands of a medical professional 🥼. And why so? Because we didn't become skin specialists over night. We had to go to school and get educated on Skin conditions, internal health conditions (which are many) and more. PLUS we have had to gain experience before recommending anything even something like skincare (what people think is easy to recommend). Everyday we keep learning constantly, gaining knowledge and experience so that your skin can be properly treated. .

What’s all the hype with lymphatic drainage massage? Does it actually work? Your lymphatic system is a network of vessels that carry lymph fluid rather than blood. Lymphatics drain excess fluid from tissues all over the body and contain immune cells that play important roles in protecting our bodies against viruses and bacteria. Our blood vessels have a pump (the heart) that propels blood forward. However, the lymphatic system has no such pump. It relies on the contraction of our muscles to slowly move lymph forward, therefore the fluid can sometimes build up.
Buildup of lymph is known as lymphedema and can give tissue a puffy and swollen appearance. This often occurs after injury to an area or surgery, as immune cells rush to the area to start the healing process. Lymphatic drainage massage helps gently move the fluid along the system and can actually reduce swelling by helping drain the fluid!
Shown here are lymphatic endothelial cells stained for cadherin (red) and actin (green). Nuclei are in white.

Entretanto, a primeira versão do livro tem o pomposo título: "On the Origin of Species by Means of Natural Selection, or the Preservation of Favoured Races in the Struggle for Life", que em português fica "Sobre a Origem das Espécies por Meio da Seleção Natural ou a Preservação de Raças Favorecidas na Luta pela Vida".

it's actually inconclusive in Science as to whether fetuses have personhood. genetic uniqueness or fertilization aren't apt enough descriptors for the ethics of abortion.
Wrong. The idea stems from Starkloff, physician from the 1918 flu pandemic in the US. It works. And evidence has been collected from numerous case studies in countries by others. Science doesn’t care what you believe.

Tereza Correia.

George C de Baca’s 2019 abstract oil painting Holy Ghost Alignment pulsates with energy. His image recalls a microcosmic crystalline structure, atoms linked together to create a unique element. Demonstrating the artist’s mastery of color, this piece juxtaposes bright colors for maximum vibrancy. George’s work finds a place where religion and science meet.

🎳 Professional bowling balls are weird inside! 🎳 No matter how hard you try to spin the house balls at your local bowling joint, they rarely curve. That’s because they are simple spheres built for durability, not fancy moves. But a small handful of companies—among them @stormproducts—create gear that is surprisingly complex inside.
🎳 Precisely shaped, meticulously balanced weight blocks leverage the laws of physics to help skilled alley jockeys throw a strike on most rolls. This clever engineering allows the projectiles to hook inward as they approach the end of the 60-foot lane, where the invisible oil slick on the boards thins. The spin an expert gives the globe (as fast as 600 rpm) will find purchase there as the friction increases, putting the orb right next to the headpin. 🎳 For @stanhoraczek’s ball-by-ball breakdown (and more cool visuals), check out our Summer 2020 issue, available to everyone, online, right now. What some people THINK plant based nutrition is and what it REALLY is are sometimes far different. 😳The classic meme that plant based food is for grass smoking hippies is tired and worn out. The TRUTH is that plant based nutrition is backed by peer reviewed science. The truth is that plant based nutrition is powerful medicine. So whether you are middle America or living on the coasts, plant based nutrition needs to be part of your BEST health plan. Eat more plants.......and stick with the legal ones. 🌱😎 #hippie #plants#plantbased#weed#funny#humor#jokes#science#health#hashish#jacksonville#florida

Armageddon’s rainbow 😀
There’s a crack in everything, that’s how the light gets in, said Cohen.
We are in the middle of a massive breakdown and awakening. Not just of information and hard truths and painful realisations, but of entire systems dissolving... and so much more... cognitive dissonance isn’t the easiest to navigate... I mean we’ve had it for a long time, living in it’s shadow. Now, it’s like the planets have an ultra violet light shining on it.
In nature when something transforms it goes through a chaos process, it gets to breaking point, the stress of the old system is pushed to resolve the negative and positive forces ... it either evolves into something new or dies (as a living thing). However, Energy, they say, never dies.
Some systems (like weather) might appear random at first look, but chaos theory says that these kinds of systems or patterns may not be. If people pay close enough attention to what is really going on, they might notice the chaotic patterns.
Here we are.
May you be loving 🥰
