"For the sense of smell, almost more than any other, has the power to recall memories and it is a pity that we use it so little." – Rachel Carson
It's so true..."The sense of smell is closely linked with memory, more so than any of our other senses. Those with full olfactory function may be able to think of smells that evoke particular memories;" I can still tell you what my grandma Houghy smelled like and the last time I hugged her I was 7 years old. I love the smell of gasoline because it reminds me of my childhood, and my hard working dad, and pumping gas at Charlie's Auto Repair after school. I cannot use regular hand sanitizer because it brings me back to one too many hospital visits, but the smell of cigars will stop me in my tracks looking for my grandfather, and wet dirt and roses have me back in grandma's magical garden cutting flowers for my teachers. The smell of saltwater has the power to take me away from so many things and back to some of the happiest times in my life. I cherish the idea that my children will be able to do this with the purest scents. That someday when they miss me, they'll be able to open a bottle of Joy and be back in my arms. Or when they are tucking in their little ones, with lambies touched with lavender, they will remember me doing the same to them. Their childhood memories will be filled with Sandalwood seaside vacations, and minty backyard summers, Thieves scented snowy snuggles, and Cypress filled mountain retreats. Of all the gifts I could give them, perhaps the time machine of scents and bottles of memories are the greatest ones. All of life should have a scent soundtrack. The twilight huddles close to the sleepy fire, its embers blinking at you in the dark. Smoke follows beauty, and it's beautiful night. You lay back and look at the infinite sky above and watch the smoke trails drift their waves into the darkness.
And that's the magic of this spray cologne.
Just one spray reminds you of of long shadows, sleepy campfire, and night sounds all around you. It's all the points of light against the blue backdrop of a dusky sky.
You're on the run, and the best place to hide is up the mountain.
This mountain smells like freedom and promise: pine with a whiff of campfire on the breeze. A little wet earth from the recent rains... but not enough to make tracks. Your Native friends taught you all about walking lightly and leaving no trace.
It feels good to put that knowledge to use now, knowing that the stinkin' town and its legal clutches is well behind you.
You're in the mountains now, and in the mountains, you're free.

The Gambler Natural Hand Wash - 8oz of fortune and boldness
A smooth and sudsy hand wash smelling of bourbon, tobacco, and leather
Manly or womanly, depending on what you're into (it's unisex, just like whiskey)
A refined scent, won't make you smell like a bar or a Hell's Angel. Isn't like sock-ya-in-the-kisser whiskey, but more like a warm blanket for your inners. Except for your outers, because it's hand wash (please don't drink the hand wash. It is non-alcoholic). Made in the USA by people who love their jobs and want you to be happy.
Bourbon, tobacco, and a little leather. Every gambler should keep a bottle of this hand wash conveniently close for those times they need to come clean.
A gambler knows that a raw deal can be a good hand, but it’s up to who’s holding the cards. Fortune, more than beauty, is in the eye of the beholder. Luck is our own.
Sit down, shuffle up, and deal me in.
