After being ill for two weeks, I am trying to catch up with the training. Yesterday was my first swim and it was bloody hard 😔. After first 100 m I was already out of breath, and I was feeling every piece of my upper body. The voices in my head were asking questions how I am going to survive that 1900m swim on my #ibericman half Ironman distance triathlon in couple weeks time 🙈. I lost all my confidence. Although I just thought to myself, I need to try to carry on and do my best.
After yesterday's struggle, I figured out I need to swim as often as possible in order to be able to complete that long distance.
Tonight I wanted to swim again. I supposed to go on my own, but I was so happy when @b.kuske said she will join me ❤. That actually made me to go. There was no skiving 😂. For my surprise swimming was slightly easier that yesterday. I still felt the burning muscles but my confidence is back 💪. There are always up and downs. Don't give up something because it's hard. Just ask yourself how badly you want it and carry on! 😊
