It’s my 3-year @_habelruns14 anniversary / birthday this week! In honor this remarkable occasion I thought I’d take the chance to reintroduce myself because the life I live has experienced ~many~ changes since that first post on Sunday, February 26, 2017!
• I’m Hannah! A post-bacc student turned full-time grad student turned speech therapy intern turned ~almost~ fully licensed pediatric speech-language pathologist! I now work full-time in private practice with tiny humans.
• I was born in Richmond VA, raised in Jacksonville FL, attended college at University of Miami, spent 3 years as a resident of THE District of Columbia & now call Arlington VA home!
• I started this account appx. 5 minutes after I registered for my first marathon, #wdwmarathon25, which I ran 11 months later! I’ve since run 6 halfs, 3 fulls & 4 10-milers.
• I’m a proud original member of #taylornation...yes, my favorite singer is @taylorswift & she has been since I was...wait for it...THIRTEEN years old.
• I’m an avid watcher of @nbcthisisus, @greysabc & @station19. I’m also a huge fan of @gilmoregirls & have seen every episode of @friends & @downtonabbey_official.
• As of last week my favorite book of all time is #LittleWomen...don’t try to tell me Jo March isn’t a rockstar.
• Outside of running I spend A LOT of time in the kitchen baking ~all~ the things from scratch. Just ask @runner_liv about my chocolate chip cookies.
If there’s anything else you wanna know, don’t hesitate to ask! .
Disciplina, planejamento e execução. Te admiro por isso! Muito obrigado pela foto e pelo carinho. Te considero um ídolo. 🏃🏼♂️🚴🏼♂️🏊🏼

Pace run and mid training race accomplished ✅
After a week spent in beautiful Dublin, and a week of hotel breakfast buffets and pub visits, I wasn't really sure what to expect from my race today, but it ended up going really well. My goal was to run it at a pace run pace, so, for me, to try and run 8 minute miles for 13 miles with consistent energy and effort. And that was exactly what I did. 😎
I am starting to feel like this will be a pace I can sustain for a full marathon. Confidence is on the rise! .
Shout out it to all my awesome running friends who competed or supported the runners today including @jaimeruns26.2 @babiestoboston@darbear342@megger216@melanieeversley@mav13215@theresabrown75@rickgloo@kristaharwick@stiles337@r_misencik@pnoll4918 apologies to anyone I forgot
Feeling better after that workout following a difficult nights sleep. Overthinking is a bitch however, I was adamant it wasn’t going to ruin my day, so I’m happy I’ve done my workout.

Reflection for week 6 of race training can be described as follows: STRUGGLE BOTH MENTALLY AND PHYSICALLY. I got my runs done this week but with struggles along the way. The physical struggle that I am having right now is injury concern. I didn't have this problem while I was marathon training. I am focusing on my right shoulder as the issue (always have an muscle imbalance due to scoliosis). The mental struggle is something I struggled with early on in prior race training. To help me there, I go back to people who have left me positive comments in the past during my prior race trainings, and they have helped me so much!! You know who you are!! This week is going to be very important for me as I focus on long distance conditioning with 4 weeks to go this coming Saturday!! #reflection#runnersoninstagram#runnersofig #runnersofinstagram👟🏃 #runnersonig#runnersofinsta#racetraining#strugglebus#physicalchallenge#sportsinjury#mentalstruggle#positivity#positivemessage#trainingplan#conditioningtraining

On Sunday’s, we #runfastsipslow 🙌🏾
Y’all...if you don’t know about @brunchrunning’s bRUNch Club, you’re missing OUT! The last Sunday of every month @alexweissner and her girl Cortney put together the best 5k/10k fun run + BYObRUNch at @denvermilkmarket...complete with the best and most welcoming run community, a complimentary drink, and some of the yummiest samples eeevvvveeerrr 🙌🏾 It’s become one of my fave monthly events - I even met the BESTEST gal pal in @thehansenlife there (we’ve been IG pals for forever and we FINALLY met IRL TODAY 😆)! Whether you’re a running beginner, training, not training, half marathoner, ultra runner, jogger, or super chill walker - you’re welcomed! And THAT is what I love most about this crew 🤘🏾
Next bRUNch Club is 3/29, fun run (or walk) starts @ 9a-ish. Come with...I’d love to introduce you to the best #bRUNchatarians around 🙌🏾
Another week of Boston training in the bank! Looking forward to the coming week as it’s supposed to be my first time in ages doing over 40 mi for the week.
The comeback from injury has been slow, and I’ve been anxious to ramp it back up. Patience has never been my strong suit, so I swear God throws me these injuries just to help me learn patience. 🤷🏼♀️
Here’s to another week closer to reaching our goals (and to warmer weather). Have a great week, friends!

Training with Pace
So, in its simplest form, pace is basically the time it takes you to run a mile or km, usually defined as: min/mile or min/km. Training with pace is useful as through simple calculations you can design a training session to produce a desired physiological response. Pace is therefore far more like training with power than training with heart rate. There is no lag, and you can get instant feedback and even set alarms on your sports watch to keep within a pace range. Other advantages are that you can use a given race time and train to that pace to achieve your goal. There are a lot of varying pace calculators and predicted time calculators available online and they are worth looking at if you wish to take your training to the next step. There are some disadvantages of training with pace though. Consistent pace is not always easy to maintain. There are a lot of variables that can have an effect on your pace from day to day. Such as: stress, tiredness, fatigue, illness, terrain, and weather conditions. So remember to take these into account. If you are consistently not hitting a desired pace it might be worth performing a baseline run-test, reviewing any calculations or check you are not overtraining!

For me one of the toughest things about rebuilding after an injury is staying present in the moment & working pretty hard at not comparing myself to where I was before injury-gate!
So for tomorrow’s race I know I am nowhere near my 10 K PB of 49:08 But that won’t stop me having fun, enjoying the race, hopefully collecting my first medal of 2020 as the other two races I’ve done have been bling-less 🏅 ❌😐 and enjoying the process of getting strong enough to go PB hunting in the not too distant future🤞🏻🙌🏻🕺🏼
Today’s jam was a 20 minute shakeout run followed by 4 x 20 seconds strides 🏃🏼♀️ ✌🏻
📸 from an old #parkrun .
Not too early to post this, right?😂 But tribute miles for @thewoodlandsmarathon are up💕💕💕 Not exhaustive. Still gotta do a list, even though this is a “for fun” race 🏃🏻♀️ Not trying time PR or BQ, just appreciating it for what it is. 3 enjoyable miles easy today to shake out yesterday’s 17 miler 🏃🏻♀️
Smiling because: I ran three straight miles yesterday 🙌🏻. 57 degree temps today 🙌🏻 and tomorrow is my last PT prescribed run of 30 minutes. I’ve come a long way in 15 weeks since my c section!
I don’t usually listen to anything when I run because it’s either dark or I’m running with someone, but I listened to Planet Money today during my run. The episode was about how the NYC Marathon tries to fairly allocate race spots — with the lottery, the ‘merit’/qualifying times, the $$$ spots (charity, corporate, & intl travel packages), & 9+1. They all require commitment & are fair game, but I really think the 9+1 method is ingenious as a gesture to the local community & the amount of effort involved in completing it! 🙌🏻 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It’s tough to get going today — I spent the night at my sisters house & drove back to SF this morning. I had to work this weekend too because I got someone else’s work dumped on me. ☠️ This week will be busy & soooo (NOT!) lucky to coincide with the big 20 mile run! 🤖
W14D7: 4 recovery miles, ending the week at 45 total miles. Highest mileage week ever!
Ultra Śledź 2020
Czas: 10h 12min (9h 42min +/- 30min)
No nic, zapisana, opłacona- trzeba się przygotować.
