Well one more mile for the day with the kiddo. Had an amazing day full of running, getting some sun with the wifey and playing outside with the little one. Pushing a 4 year old in a stroller was tougher than i thought lol. @here4slayrx
Anyone else noticed how the over 50s life insurance adds have disappeared from your tv screen. Just 12p a day, guaranteed acceptance, no medical reqd.
I really wanted a free Parker pen too.pic.twitter.com/CAxtYP3Ome
Happy Sunday 💙 Incredible weather today ☀️, hope you got to enjoy it! I personally spent the entire day sunbathing and reading 😌 and of course running! Today’s run is thanks to @eva.prato who challenged me to run a 5 K today, and im so glad she did! 💕 Absolutely love these quarantine challenges which encourage people to stay active, really believe that it has a tremendous benefit to our mental wellbeing during these very tough times 🕯

#latergram Generic post long run selfie following yesterday’s workout. 😁 last week I joined the rest of the running community when my spring marathon was finally cancelled. Now even though I knew it was coming I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t upset about it. To the point that I felt sorry for myself for a few days. I realized this was pretty stupid based on the situation the country is currently facing. There are people out there who are having a lot tougher go of things than me at the moment. So I try to keep that in perspective. Honestly up to this point my daily routine has remain unchanged. I’m fortunate enough to still be working and despite not being able to race at the end of May, I’m still running everyday. So if you have plans being postponed or events being cancelled and are still fortunate enough to to have your health, I’d say you’re doing pretty well. So hang in there, remain positive and we will get through this! Hope everyone is managing as best they can! Happy Sunday everyone! 🏃🏻🏃🏻🏃🏻👋🏻✌🏻 .

First run of April ✔️ 3.3 miles, 13:04 pace
There was a time when my average paces were under 10 min per mile. Sometimes I wonder if I'll ever get back to that. 🤔
It is what is it, though, so I'm not gonna stress too much about it. Just happy to be able to run when I can and enjoy the beauty. Especially with everything going on right now.
Like the marathon, life can sometimes be difficult, challenging and present obstacles, however if you believe in your dreams and never ever give up, things will turn out for the best. - Meb

EGY DÁTUM /VIVICITTA / EGYEDÜL ⠀ (Végén egy videó)
A már már ikonikussá vált kép, ami jól jellemez engem.⠀
De érem híján ma csak az órámat tudom megmutatni nektek!⠀
Itt a 8️⃣.-ik félmaratoni címem is.⠀🏃🏻♀️
Happy Sunday Runday! The @snohomish_running_co Everett Half Marathon was supposed to be last weekend and I ran it virtually today! So fun to have all my race swag mailed to me so I could put on the medal after my run 🙌 the medal is super pretty and sparkly!
My hip has really been bugging me lately toward the end of my long runs and I'm not really sure why it's acting up 🙁 can't go to my chiro so...just trying to take it easy pace wise and do all I can as far as stretch/foam rolling and Epsom salt baths! It's just so weird. I did hill repeats on Thurs and before the elevation would be a good indicator if it had issues but it didn't bug me with hills 🤷🏻♀️ ugh
I also woke up super early this morning in order to not be around people since it's been way too busy on the route I like to run on the last few weeks. Woke up at 5:15...out the door by 6:30. (Anyone else also take forever to get out the door? I have to eat, stretch, foam roll, warm up, get my water ready, lol it's a whole process!) It worked out well though!! Only saw some people and they were scattered throughout my duration of my run and I was able to move to pass with plenty of room. It was way less stressful than last week and I'm so happy I didn't have to just run thru and circle little neighborhoods. Worth the early alarm -- will prob be doing this for all my runs going forward!
I’m going to keep this quite short. I also want to make it clear that I’m not looking to provoke anyone in the world with this post. Although if some positive action for preventing the next covid happened that would be great.
On my solo run today I couldn’t help but think. If this is covid-19 can you imagine what covid-20 could be like. We’re all in lockdown and unfortunately I feel the same will happen again. We’re all encouraged to be 2m apart and I agree with that but does it not make you wonder how this virus has reached every country. Okay to be fair there’s no signs of it for 14 days but why are the airports not testing everyone who gets on and off each plane, including the pilot. I was due to go to Dublin on the 6th of March (but I cancelled weeks before I was meant to go. Also I didn’t cancel because of one country in particular, I just didn’t feel like it was a safe time to fly to any country at that time. There’s no prejudice to Dublin, because at that point there was no cases at that time in Ireland.) and I thought they would be checking people then but they weren’t and they’re still not doing it. Why? Why wouldn’t you test each person? Why weren’t they using those thermometer guns and potentially saving lives.
I’m sorry if this upsets anyone. I just don’t want a repeat of this disaster again 😞.
10 k virtual race with @rambling_runner
Run safe. Run solo. Keep your distance.
Keep fighting. Keep showing up.
Still struggling with pandemic stress, overall fatigue, & this lingering shin splint ish. But as they say, any physical activity is better than nothing, right.
Thanks for getting me out there @rambling_runner . Since this pandemic, your virtual races are the only thing pushing me to brave the outdoors and get my runs & mileage in. Cheers to virtual races that keep the motivation going forward.
This is my “official” entry to the #teamULTRAcontest
I had planned to create a picturesquesque scene on the FL beach to showcase the #fllifestyle way of having fun on the run and ..... then the beach got closed 😳 so I’m embracing where I’m at and bringing the party to my “backyard beach” ... and yes, there was a Gator out here with me 😆, but we were mindful of the social distancing 👌 🐊 🍻 ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
Why am I applying?
1. My training partner Kirsten @kirstenkmitchell has been on the team and tells me about the awesome people she has met through the organization and what a great time it has been; I want to experience this too! Life is short, so I’m open to new experiences
2. Believe it or not, Michelob Ultra was my first post-race beer! Having started running as a teen; a post-race beer was not a thing 😏 and when I became an adult it seemed weird. I would hand off my free beers to my dad or husband. Then after Daytona Half 5K, I decided I wanted to give it a try even though I was a mix drink type of girl. They were handing out Ultra’s that day. I honestly never tasted anything so wonderful, now I understood the hype. Ultra has been my beer and only beer I drink since that day ❤️ 3. This is the year of my comeback! After not running for an entire year, I am lined up to complete my first marathon this fall/winter! This has been a goal for 4 years, of which so many of you have followed me through my ups and downs of pursuing this. I cannot think of a better way to showcase accomplishing this goal than by running for Team Ultra at the New York City Marathon! The perfect ending to a story of never letting injury, age or life stop you from believing, achieving and experiencing life; all the while making the most fun out of the highs and lows along the way ❤️ 4. Please leave me some love and encouragement for #TeamUltra to pick me! 😉 ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
Much love to the IG family who has always encouraged me to smile and never stop believing 😘 ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
