😍 The GOD RIFF in Lucid by @polarisaus (full cover in bio)
🙏 This is just one of those riffs everyone agrees on... fucking BANGER!!!
😋 To me the breakdown after it really makes the riff what it is: a highlight that's actually just a build-up to something even more UGH
S N O W B A L L F I G H T
2 oz Gin
½ oz Raspberry Liqueur
1 oz Fresh Lemon Juice
¼ oz Strawberry Cinnamon Clove Syrup
Add all ingredients to a shaking tin and then add ice. Shake and strain over pebble ice into a double rocks glass.
Strawberry Cinnamon Clove Syrup:
In a pot add 2 cups sugar, 1 cup water and 1 cup of sliced up fresh strawberries. Put on the heat and bring to a simmer, stir and smash the strawberries up a bit once they’ve become soft. Add 10 whole cloves and 2 sticks of cinnamon. Let simmer for another 5 minutes stirring to incorporate the sugar. Remove from heat and let cool. Double strain the syrup into a bottle and discard the solids.
‘Tis the season for winter riffs on the classics.
I like to use a really herbal gin in this one.
A veces supe que iba a perder,
sin saber bien, cómo ni por qué,
a veces dije esto no lo voy a hacer,
y siempre lo hice, nunca sin querer.
A veces te he mentido y otras veces he sido,
lo que no hubiera querido ser;
más por todo lo que he visto, es por eso que insisto,
en que me queda mucho por hacer.

Harvest Their Bodies is a Blackened Slamming Deathcore band from Munich, Bavaria (Germany) formed in 2016 and they have since released 2 full length albums and very recently, an EP, they are a very heavy band with blackened riffs, insane bassdrops and even a fair amount of technicality in their music. The vocals are really damn good and have good variation and suit the instrumentals perfectly, some songs tend to be more breakdown heavy while others are quite technical which keeps their music from getting boring, it’s a genuinely amazing mix which honestly makes them pretty easy to get into if you like Brutal Deathcore bands at all. I barely heard about this band around the time their second album Descendant of Darkness came out thanks to @valkyriebloodlust666 and they are an extremely underrated band for how solid their sound is in general. Their recent EP Between the Light and the Shade is easily their best release yet as it has their heaviest bassdrops and best sound production out of all their releases, it sounds like it’s on par with all the big Deathcore bands, easily one of my favorite bands from Germany since listening to them, even their debut album Pleochroism is very damn solid. If you like blackened Deathcore, Slamming Deathcore and just heavy Deathcore bands in general, check out Harvest Their Bodies!!! @harvesttheirbodies -

HUGE throwback to my 2014 and 2015! CROWBAR - Zagreb, Croatia⠀
June 17th 2014 was my first time seeing them and meeting my absolute all time lyrical hero, and the lord of Riff, Kirk Windstein as well as his gorgeous and amazing wife Robin. The excitement was surreal, especially when we entered the club (Mocvara) and Kirk was just standing there in the crowd and next to his wife who was selling t-shirts, drinking beer like he was no big deal. HOLY SHIT. After the show, I was sane enough to buy a shirt and to take a picture with him, (the first one in the slide) but that was it. I was lost for all words. Up until that point it was the greatest day of my life.⠀
Barely 10 months later, they announced another show in Zagreb, Croatia! Vintage Industrial Bar - 07.03.2015... Fuck'n A! My girl Hana joined me for the experience, and it was beautiful. The Lasting dose, Planet's Collide, NOTHING, Walk With knowledge Wisely... it was all there... Kirk threw us some picks, and since 1 fell in Hana's beer, he gave her another one.. It's those little things that are to be remembered for life. Tommy (drummer) was packing up his set, and I called him over to thank him for the amazing gig. I showed him respect and told him his charisma outweighs that of Crowbar's former drummer Craig Nunenmacher (BLS), and he went backstage and brought out a drumstick he used on one of his previous shows and gave it to me, thanking me for the mad support. THE NICEST GUY! After that we went to buy t-shirts and of course to take a pic with Kirk. Once again he was in the merch section with Robin, drinkin' and chillin'. I asked him to sign my arm, right underneath my DOWN logo, which was Kirk's other band, and he did. I wanted to tattoo it the next day when we get home, but sweat washed it out before we got the hotel room... Nevertheless, GREAT FUCKING NIGHT! #crowbar#zagreb#down#nola#kirkwindstein#robinwindstein#tommybuckley#doom#metal#concert#rifflord#riff#thelastingdose#nothing#mocvara#vintageindustrialbar#croatia#sufferingbringswisdom#sludge#valiumnob#kingdomofsorrow
