Did you know that most kitchen sponges have a huge carbon footprint as they are made out of polyester or nylon. They will sit in our landfill for centuries. 💚We designed a natural alternative: the loofah kitchen sponge. Our sponges are 100% natural and are completely biodegradable. They work just as well as their plastic counterpart. Once you are used to the new sponge you won’t go back 🙌.

I think I’ve lost about one million hair ties in my lifetime. I’ll buy a new pack of 20 and lose 19 of them in the first week. That final hair tie I’ll treat like a baby and it’ll probably last 6 months before it breaks or until I lose it! So, maybe this is why I don’t have kids. I can’t even look after my hair ties!
Any who, apart from me realising that all my hair ties are probably partying with my missing left socks, I saw a few people make their own hair ties by using old stockings. This one pictured had a massive run in them and a hole at the toe. It’s been sitting in my draw for two years mostly because I keep on thinking I can still wear it, but I can’t rock torn stockings without looking like I had a rough night out
Any who, it works like a charm! You’ll have to tie it a few times but it holds my thick ass hair in place! If you have lighter hair you can probably use lighter coloured stockings or even patterned lonely socks if you’re feeling fancy
If you swipe, you’ll see a video of how it ties. If you swipe again you’ll go to your DMs...there was no point to the last bit, it was just a technical fact

In my previous post, I had a recipe for homemade tofu - but what to do with the leftover pulp (okara)? You can actually still make soy milk with it!
It won’t be as creamy as the first time around but it’s still better than store bought.
I recommend at least two cups of pulp with every 5 cups of water, this way it won’t be too watery.
> boil pulp with required amount of water. Once it’s boil set aside to cool. Boiling is important because now you’ve also cooked the pulp and can use it in patties
> once cooled blend mixture and strain
> I like to boil it again and bring to a simmer for about 15 mins, adding 1 tbsp of maple syrup and a pinch of salt
> set aside to chill and serve!
I also like to make some with turmeric and ginger powder for a golden latte blend, but do whatever takes your fancy. I’ll have a recipe for some fish-less patties with the okara soon. I’m still testing out a recipe for it and it isn’t quite yet there. So, yup, 3 uses out of the same soybeans! (Talk about thrifty 😉)

Turns out that being more sustainable in the bathroom isn’t THAT hard, you just need to make some simple switches. From reusable cotton rounds to safety razors, shampoo & conditioner bars to a bamboo toothbrush, head to jennyheyside.com to learn 10 small switches that make a BIG difference.
I just did a video on my Instagram talking about this product. This is Face Halo. They are an amazing company with STELLAR customer service. Each Face Halo round replaces 500 😱 makeup wipes!
Each Face Halo round is washable up too 200x in the wash! And since it takes over a hundred years for a makeup wipe to biodegrade into the earth- this was a no brainer for me. All you need is water and that’s it!
As demonstrated in the video, this EASILY and quickly removes makeup. It locks it into the round and does not transfer or smear the makeup you’ve already taken off onto your skin. It gets your skin clean!
I am in no way sponsored or affiliated with Face Halo, (although I’d love to!) I just really love their products. They are $22 for 3 rounds, or $19.80 (with tax) if you do an auto ship. It’s worth EVERY PENNY. No joke you guys I’ve saved over a $100 a year not buying makeup wipes. Plus great for the environment?? Yes please! Lastly- when you eventually use these up (200 washes later), you can recycle them!
