If you had asked me a year ago if I knew I'd be drinking wine whilst reading my poems from a published book some time soon, I would have said no.
It is such an honour to have some of my work published in this anthology. I've always known I've wanted to publish, I just didn't think it would be so soon. I'm only 20 but I am finally able to say I'm a published author/poet... #PublishedAuthor

I’m use to intentionally ignore my annual mammogram — I actually detected a lump in November 2017.. And put it off.. Until a Breast Cancer Diagnosis in early 2018-
I was fortunate- Stage 2 ICD a very common cancer. I opted for a lumpectomy, sentinel node biopsy and brachy radiation therapy (10 rounds).
My new health plan includes a diagnostic mammogram every 6 months. Skilling up diet, nutrition, daily exercise, stress management strategies and adulting (not living in denial- attending to what I need to have seen or taken care of now).
Early detection is always an advantage where cancer is involved —I’ve decided it’s ok and in my case life saving to put on my Superwoman Cape and taking care of myself— 👏🏻🙌🏻👏🏻
My 6 month mammogram is early Monday morning - be your own Superhero— get your mammogram scheduled today.

Dear Pennies & Pens, today we were going to work on the production schedule for our Penny in Portland travel guide. But somehow, we spent the whole day working on our marketing plan. It's because we read this dope DIY publicity ebook for authors so that inspired us to work on our PR strategy. But as soon as we set up the Google doc, we went and looked at our marketing plan and realized it needed to be edited and updated. So we started working on that. At first, we kicked ourselves in the inkbutt because we felt like we got sidetracked. But then we realized that working on something not on your todo list isn't always a bad thing. Sometimes in business, you do need to shift your focus and do something else. The fact of the matter is, it makes more sense for us to focus on marketing products that are already available for sale on our site than working on a brand new product. If we get sales up for our current products, we'll be able to invest more pennies into product development, advertising, and PR. So inklesson, getting sidetracked and working on something else doesn't mean you've lost focus. Now if you end up binge watching a show on Netflix or talking to your BFF on the jack for 2 hours, that's bullshitting and you should kick yourself in the inkbutt. How do you stay focused so you can ink the life you've always wanted? Share your inkthoughts in the comments! #productioncompany#publishinghouse#bookpublisher#indiepublisher#publishingcompany#kindledirectpublishing#kdp#selfpublishingwithkdp#publishedauthor#selfpublishedauthor#authorlife#islpdtx#inkwithus
