Say goodbye 👋🏼 to plastic dish soap bottles. Our dish block™️ is an easy #plasticfree and low waste swap. Just wet your sponge or brush, rub on the bar and lather up dishes as usual! Our formula is made without palm oil or petroleum cleansers, unlike nearly every cleaning product in the grocery aisle. The regular size dish block™️ can last one person up to 6 months, the huge size can last one person up to a year and a half (mileage of course will vary with different washing habits, volume of dishes and household size). #notoxlife#dishblock#dishwashingblock#zerowaste

Another fridge perv
It’s not perfect and there is plastic and I genuinely couldn’t be bothered cleaning it up for the photo! But, it is so much better than what it was over a year ago! We even moved out one of our shelves to create a little more standing space for the veggies, plus it forces us to buy less food and keep food waste to a minimum
I’ve started buying tofu packaged again, instead of making my own. Frankly, making everything from scratch takes a shitload of time, and if I ain’t buying tofu I probably won’t be eating any protein so, store-bought tofu it is! You know, it’s Spring now, I want to spend some time outside rather than in the kitchen! And I’m feeling a little lazy. Mostly, the lazy part
I keep carrots in water so that it remains crisp, place the root of broccoli in water to keep it fresher for longer and I also use some damp cloth bags when I’m out of space to keep spinach and mushrooms! Anything that doesn’t require special treatment like apples or potatoes are lovingly stuffed into the veggie crisper thingy (that’s the correct term right?). Not pictured - the door of the fridge, which has coriander, celery and spring onions in separate jars of water - I only submerge the roots of the herbs. Also, there’s some homemade cashew mylk. (Cashew mylk requires no straining!) I keep onions in the fridge! It helps with the tears, as in I don’t cry when I chop onions anymore. I just cry over everything else in general
And yeah, the Vegemite is in the fridge. Come at me. Okay, don’t come at me. My soul is very fragile and I can only receive compliments

Find someone who treats you the way I treat lettuce 🥬🤲🏻
I used to think that plastic bags were the only way to keep produce fresh. I. WAS. WROOOOOONNNGG.
As it turns out, greens want to BREATHE. They thrive in a damp, humid environment that is not too wet and not too dry. And mine prefer a pillowy, 3-layer unbleached cotton storage bag that hydrates while wicking away moisture. High maintenance much? 🙄
Lucky for me, these bags do the all of the work—keeping greens crisp for weeks, so no more wilted, sad and slimy lettuce. Also, no more plastic, no more food waste and no more 💸💸💸
You can find our new cotton produce storage bags by @theswag.original and other new arrivals at the link in our profile.
Did you know between 2008 and 2016 almost 300,000 balloons were found on US beaches 🌍
Next time don’t let it go🙏

Reduce the amount of single use plastic in your life with our collection of vegan & zero waste alternatives (Link In Bio)
Some (not-so) fun disposable waste facts from hardtofind seller Chris at Think Cups:
- Australians throw away approximately 1 billion disposable coffee cups a year (that's 2.7 million per day!).
- Around 90% of this waste goes to landfill and around 60,000 kg of plastic waste is generated from these disposable cups.
- Australians also use around 17 billion disposable water bottles and cans every year.
- Around 60,000 tonnes of greenhouse gasses are created in plastic water bottle production and freight every year in Australia alone. "At Think Cup we aim to help educate customers to not only reduce waste but also to think about what a small daily ritual like buying a take away coffee or a disposable water bottle can do to our environment."

It is day 3 in Norway and I still have not seen one plastic on the ground in any of my walks. Continuing the plastic free awareness viral intention with @eco_nnect that @rodessara tagged m me in and asking @aidaartiles and @xuanlanyoga and anyone else who feels motivated to to join it. Put a picture of one of your favorite places or something in nature that reminds you of why we should go #plasticfree and tag two other people who may get the word out. Making it so that every day there is a small reminder to reset the intention.

The best way to “live without” is to embrace the change! Buy snacks from bulk food stores, travel more eco-friendly, buy clothes second hand or from ethical brands and take care of them, and embrace plastic-free and plant-based movements - even if it’s only with little changes at a time.
Have you made any changes to “live without” in the name of the planet?
