@burleighsgin Pink Edition is inspired by Tokyo.
Using Burleigh’s traditional London Dry, the PINK edition is distilled with the addition of Japanese cherry blossom, hibiscus, rose and pink grapefruit. Initially released as a limited edition it now forms part of Burleighs core range.
On the nose this is zesty and full of glorious grapefruit with a beautiful floral bouquet running underneath. To taste, pink grapefruit provides balance to the sweetness of hibiscus and cherry blossom.
Soft and utterly delicious it has a lovely floral finish with a touch of bitterness and spice.
This is best served with @fevertreemixers Aromatic Tonic Water. The result is a superb Gin & Tonic with the flavours in both the gin and the tonic blending together effortlessly.
For garnishes, we opted for dehydrated orange and pink pepper as an alternative to the suggested serve of grapefruit.
@tarsierspirit have done it again!
Created by Tim Driver and Sherwin Acebuche, Tarsier captures the flavours and character of Southeast Asia.
These guys are the true meaning of the word CRAFT, touching every element of their gin from recipe creation, distillation, design, bottling, despatch, and even representing themselves with us at various best festivals across the UK. It’s fair to say they’ve become good friends and we couldn’t be prouder to see the range expand....
Picking up where their original left off, Tarsier takes you on a journey of adventure and discovery. From the tropical rainforests of Indonesia, to the orchards of the Mekong Delta, and the fruit carts of Malaysia, there’s plenty of inspiration that’s been drawn upon.
Oriental Pink is bursting with the floral notes of red dragon fruit, the sweetness of lychee and the tartness of raspberry. There’s real substance to this creation; and whilst pink gin has started to borderline and even cross into vodka in selected cases, this gin is true to its name! Raspberry is most defiantly prominent but there’s twists and turns on the palate giving this real depth. Juniper is of course present. The Southeast Asian botanicals are really rather delightful and help make this raspberry creation refreshingly unique.
As for the name Tarsier, it’s named after a small tree-dwelling nocturnal primate with very large eyes (as pictured) native to the islands of Southeast Asia.
Tim and Sherwin are awesome people with a clear passion for gin. If you get chance to meet them at any of our events or others then make sure you grab the opportunity! #thegintomytonic
