We’re a patriotic family and would be even if our son was not currently deployed. 🇺🇸 It makes me sad 😞 when people minimize the sacrifices made by families for our country. 🇺🇸 All gave some. Some gave all. 🎶 😭 Memorial Day is right around the corner, so who else is getting her house 🏡 decorated? 🙋♀️🇺🇸 As we do, let’s not forget to pray for our military—and their families. 🙏

Good morning! I've been quiet but busy working on vintage inspired paper ornaments. Each one handmade and none exactly the same.🇺🇸
🇺🇸🚪 #America - My #Home Sweet Home! I wear mostly #redwhiteandblue all #summer long so it’s no surprise our “reddish” front door is the same! #BonillAbode is #patriotic and summer ready! 🏖🌭 And I’m ready for some grilled food, water activities, camps, fun in the sun... but I’m NOT ready for mosquitoes, dying in the heat and the other unpleasantries this season can bring... but “to everything there is a season”. (Ecc. 3) Every natural season is like seasons in life. You can’t pick and choose what you want in them. Seasons come with everything, the good and the bad. What determines if you love it or live through it is your attitude! No one “likes” you posting about your petty problems. You might get a few sympathy comments but honey, we ALL have junk to live through. (This is just tough love talking.) Positive people don’t have perfect lives, they just have the “perfect” attitude. Focus on the good. Yes, that’s easier said than done. But I promise you, it’s the ONLY way to live. Shifting your perspective is the KEY to unshakeable joy. You can always find someone who has it worst than you. Now, psychologically you shouldn’t think that way to ignore your hurt, pain or struggle of this season but you do to channel it for a better outcome. “You thought evil against me; but God meant it for good.” (Gen 50:20) This is what Joseph said to his brothers who had *sold him into slavery* and now bowed at his feet. “BUT I DON’T UNDERSTAND WHY I’M GOING THROUGH THIS?!” The peace of God surpasses understanding. (Phill. 4:7) God’s word has the answer you need; not what you want but what you need. Find your purpose where you are. In every season, our purpose is to give Him glory. You can be real. You can be transparent. You can mourn. You can be sad. But in the end - are you giving the bad more attention and credit than it deserves?! This is a daily mind-set. You must SET your thoughts on things above. (Cos. 3:2) This summer, I’m excited to keep working on me! In this season, @jonboni_ & I are both making each other better - ha! It can be rough I’ve learned you can have a pitty party or you can have a purpose! I chose purpose. #homedecor#style#ththought
