97 on the ASVAB. Plans to go to nuke school. Halsey and Nimitz were my heroes growing up. Their pacific strategy and execution made the 10 yr old in me say Navy or nothing when it came to military service.
We would rather be on the water than at home!!!! Dreaming of days ahead and the other side of this uncertainty. Until then, check out a 42 EXHT on the west coast. 🤙🏼

Valparaíso, Chile, by @dailyoverview. Source imagery: @maxartechnologies
"Valparaíso is built upon dozens of steep hillsides overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Known as “The Jewel of the Pacific,” the city is the sixth largest in the country and is home to approximately 285,000 residents. Valparaíso is also home to the country’s first public library, South America’s first volunteer fire department, and the world’s longest running Spanish language newspaper in continuous publication."

Power was restored Friday morning after it was knocked out for some customers in northeast Fresno, according to the Pacific Gas & Electric Co.
Captain Crozier has a MASTERS DEGREE in National Security and Strategic Studies from the Naval War College. And we're suppose to believe he just carelessly sent an unsecure email from one of our most important naval vessels operating in the Pacific. https://www.public.navy.mil/airfor/cvn71/pages/commandingofficer.aspx …https://twitter.com/KurtSchlichter/status/1245860111941128193 …

With those two people isolated on the beach, it looks like it could’ve been takin during quarantine but it wasn’t. This is my favorite spot in the city. I hope I can go back soon. I need some pacific breeze in my lungs! Where is the first place you’re going when all this nonsense is over?
With respect, if he knew about this outbreak a few months ago, like we all did, while operating in the Asiatic part of the Pacific, and did nothing in regards to get his logistics officers to resupply and prepare his crew with proper PPE, and just now raises an alarm?
Attempt #2. .
I am not sure why I picked green when I started, because grey has always been in the plan for the exterior (to replace the baby blue accents only), and I want to have matching inside/outside. I don’t want screaming colors, I don’t want too dark but I don’t want too bright, I want vintage but modern, bold but girly, but not too girly. What a difficult customer I am! It’s a challenge to make me happy. Haha .
I slept on it overnight after finding this masterpiece of a plate yesterday. When I saw it, I knew I was up to something good with this colour theme. It’s classy, vintage looking, modern and girly all in one. But most importantly, it looks very good with the wood, and there is a lot of it in here!. So the new plan is to paint the cupboards the dark blue/charcoal (I don’t like them, I want then to disapear in the decor so the eye concentrate on something else), I think I want to be fun and make a pink velvet banquette, the captain’s banquette will be tan faux leather, and my accent colour will be the mustard yellow, which I alresdy have a lot of items because it was also my accent colour in the previous houses. I love the bright, happy effect yellow has on my mood! ☀️

2/ PACOM, then PACFLT, then CNO, then SECNAV, then SECDEF, then JCS, and then POTUS. He sent unsecured messages on a ship with nukes...Part of our deterrent force on the Pacific Ocean( That China has terraformed islands in to claim an extra 5000 square miles of territory...)
Absofuckinglutely. He wouldn’t have published that letter if Pacific command had shared this. Why TF hasn’t The Pacific Fleet Commander been shitcanned yet?

The captain of a nuclear aircraft carrier-leader of a Pacific theater carrier croup-is not appointed to conduct a popularity contest-his isn’t Ensign Pulver’s job description. We expect a #Farragut not a #Comey
We couldn't possibly forget about the 2nd of Milwaukee's Electric behemoths! These locomotives were unusual as the were iconic. From their Soviet roots to their incredibly long service life, they were some of the best engineered railroad technology of the 20th century. Built in the 1950s for the Soviet Union as they continued their electrification project, they were originally designed for a 5' track gage and packed with enough muscle to rival the Big Boy. The Russians ordered 20 of these in 1948 and GE began production, but before they could be completed the United States banned sales of strategic goods to the USSR, leaving GE with 20 very powerful, completely useless locomotives. These dual ended, electric locomotives were the least American Locomotive to be produced by GE and their prospects looked bleak. Enter: The Milwaukee Road. They offered 1 million for all 20 ($50,000 a piece) which wasn't hardly any more than scrap value, but GE, desperate to get them off the production lot agreed. However, due to some financial hijinks by Milwaukee Road directors the money wasnt released at 8 of them were sold to Chicago's South Shore Line and others exported to Brazil. Eventually the Milwaukee purchased the remaining 12 for the original $1 Million and put them to work in the West over the rocky mountains. Above: The far western extent of the electrified rocky mountain section of the Pacific extension was Avery Idaho. MILW #21 is eastbound with a freight train in tow.
