People nowadays see a lot of proud parents of nonbinary kids💛, which is great! But people don’t see as many nonbinary parents, or nonbinary teachers or nonbinary librarians or firefighters, BUT WE ARE OUT HERE living. This is just a reminder that, although you may assume you don’t know any nonbinary adults, you do. (Especially if you know me.)💛💛🌈🎉#trans #nonbinary

Because a lotta people have been asking what non-binary is, here’s a bare basics to what being ENBY means based on my experience. There’s so much more to gender I wish I could touch on but then this comic would be super long. My fellow enby folxs feel free to add on in the comments below. My experience as an enby isnt the only one so I suggest doing research and talking to other enby folxs to understand.
Coping with dysphoria tips :) if you have any others please comment them I could do with some myself atm (especially if your tips are for certain types of dysphoria like chest!)

What do you guys wear to the beach? In these I’ve got on these long ass swim shorts and an underworks cotton concealer binder which just looks like a tank top (works well in black because it hides any shadows) I don’t bind whilst I swim :) I’m also wearing this in my new video that should be coming in an hour or so !
some pointers for gender expression at school/work:
-take it at your own pace: you can rip the bandaid, or you can take it little by little.🚶🏻♂️
maybe you’re a dude that wishes they could wear a full face of makeup💋 but you’re scared, maybe starting with gloss or highlighting your cheekbones is more your pace.
-take care of your physical safety: consider if your physical safety might be at risk (if your bullies could physically harm you, if your parents might kick you out of the house) and then evaluate what risks you’re willing to take.
whether you decide to go for it, or you decide to wait until your safety is not on the line, doesn’t make you more or less proud, what matters is that you do what you feel is best for you and your wellbeing♥️
-do your research: if you’re binding, for example, do extensive research on how to do this SAFELY. if you have someone you look up to that you can talk to, talk to them. if you have role models who have had similar experiences, see what they have to say or read up on their lives and their personal experiences.
-give yourself a safety net: let’s say you wear boxers to school for the first time and don’t know how you’re going to feel, maybe bring a change of clothes in your backpack so you have a safety net just in case you need it🎒 sometimes just knowing it’s there makes the experience easier. if you’re wearing make up and don’t know how you’re going to feel, bring make up wipes in case you change your mind✨
-it’s okay to back out: it’s okay if you decided to wear those boxers or that make up, and then half way through the day (or even five minutes through the day!) you can’t take it, or the fear becomes overwhelming, or you simply don’t WANT to anymore. the point is that you tried and you can ALWAYS try again🌻
you can be who you want to be and you don’t owe anyone an explanation.
i love you, friends🖤 What have your experiences with gender expression been like? Let me know in the comments, and leave any advice for others if you have any(:

High fashion on the lake. 👕🌊
(swipe for a spooky lake demon) 😈
(image description 1) Two photos are spliced into one, one of Alex in front of the lake and one of Charlie in the same spot. Alex wears a teal button down shirt with white fish, navy blue shorts, and teal and white water shoes and has black hair and a black beard. Charlie wears a black and teal mesh shirt, blue tie dye bike shorts, and coral sandals, and has pink spiky hair, glasses, and a septum ring. The photo is decorated with a mermaid Pusheen in the top right corner, a bottle of "Mermaid Mix" in the bottom left corner, sparkles, and hearts between Charlie and Alex.
(ID 2) Alex sits on a railing in front of the lake, grinning and eyes bright from the camera's flash.
