Playing hide and seek like I’m a school kid 🙈 #coffeeandcode
This is how the game goes: I hide in the downstairs coffee shop and try to get some (undistracted) work done, while everyone else seeks and asks for more work to be done 😂 ...I should probably look for a new hiding spot now.
Who else plays hide and seek to get stuff done?

Working Remotely ✈️
🤩 One of the things that I like the most about my job is that it makes me able to work from wherever I prefer. Generally speaking, flexible working is on the rise, due to technological advancement, and the need for better work/life balance. According to several studies, the percentage of people that are working remotely, is expected to be increased dramatically in the following decade. 🔜
🙋🏼♂️ Speaking for myself, I am not a 100% remote developer (yet). I believe that there is a strong case for bringing teams together on a regular basis to inspire and to share knowledge and learnings in a more efficient way. I also prefer taking part in team events in person and not through a computer screen. (e.g. bowling, beer tasting, nerf gun wars etc. 😂)
🌅 But still, every now and then, I really enjoy working by the seaside, listening to the sound of waves and getting inspired by sunsets like this one. 😍
👉🏻 What do you like the most about working remotely?

Friday you beautiful monster. I wait for you all week, but can’t wait to see the back you you! Hello weekend you sexy bitch.
Time to think about my next side project. I want to build something with Node, but I’m not sure what 🤷🏻♂️
What projects are you working on this weekend? #weekendproject
Mike and Tommy from LA speaking at the NodeConf last Friday in Medellín. This was the first non-profit, international event of inclusive workshops and talks focussed on the entire Node.js ecosystem. 👨🏽💻🌎 #nodejs#nodeconf#lifeasanodegenius

Animations are critical for pleasurable user experience on many applications. Fabulous animated user interfaces are more pleasant for the end user; this can convert to a happy customer.
For animations to be pleasant, they have to be fluid. These means that 60 frames per second are something you as a developer have to be mindful about while implementing the user interface.
Like always, the answer is: It depends!
For small, not complex animations, CSS is terrific as long as you follow this simple rule:
Just animate the following properties:
For a reference what CSS proper triggers what you can have a look here: https://csstriggers.com/
CSS has its limits, and complex animations can be hard with CSS.
Don't use jquery for animations. It is pretty inadequate at animations and triggers CSS properties you don't want to trigger.
Your weapon here is `requestAnimationFrame()`. Every code that has to animate elements needs to be wrapped in this function!
You can also use frameworks like GSAP and Velocity.JS
Have a nice day!
Up and attem:
Digging into some code this morning , of course with my Bali along side me. This morning I’m refreshing my #node.js skills. Will be starting #100daysofcode later this week! No better way to practice. Happy Tuesday !
