We just got a look inside the $80 million “Shaq Tower” in Newark, which also offers clear views of NYC.
The 22-story luxury apartment building at 1 Rector Street in Newark officially opens June 15. Nothing like it has ever been built in the city, according to Boraie Development.
Each of its 168 units features floor to ceiling windows and prices range from $1,800 for a studio, to $1,950 for a one-bedroom and $2,700 for a two-bedroom. The building also offers a 120-car garage for an additional $150 a month.
The roof will have cabanas, TVs, grills and probably the best panoramic views in Newark.
The NBA legend Shaq is a Newark native and wants to make the city a beautiful destination to live in.

2018 VS 2019 . DO NOT EVER LET NO ONE BRING YOU DOWN. Always believe in yourself . Challenge yourself everyday. Looking at these pictures make me so proud of myself even though I’m still not where I want to be but I know I’m in the right path. Been through so much during my nail career, from having to clean salon toilets when I had no clients, been disrespected by my boss, having co workers telling my boss to fire me bc I was a bad nail tech.. and the list keeps going.... now I’m happy to say I AM MY OWN BOSS && I am booked for the next three months. Because god is good and my clients are loyal to the end❤️

Cheesin’ because I’m surrounded by gluten free goodies 💃🏼 If you’re from NJ you have to check out @squirrelandthebee 🙌🏻 All of their food is gluten and dairy free plus they got some vegan options too! My new favorites are definitely the cinnamon bun and peanut butter brownie 😋
After being diagnosed with mono last year and suffering from poor gut health and acne I adopted a gluten free diet. One year later I can say I’ve seen mind blowing results not just in my skin but more importantly how I feel. Going out is especially difficult when eating gluten free but having a local place like Squirrel and the Bee that offers gluten free options is a life saver 💛
Also looking to share more pictures of the person behind the camera 🙋🏼♀️ Even though let’s face it, I’d rather be the one taking the pictures 😆 I hope you’re having the best Wednesday friends! ✨

“The Sopranos” prequel was filming in Bloomfield and Paterson this week.
Series creator David Chase was on set, along with Michael Gandolfini, who is playing a young Tony Soprano. Michael’s father, James, famously played the iconic character in the show’s original run. Thanks to Nick Raymond for sharing a photo of Michael on set.
Holsten’s is where the final scene of the original series was filmed. It featured the infamous cut to black sequence set to Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believin’.”
Crews also recreated Satriale’s Pork Store in Paterson. They even made it snow on an 80 degree day.
Part of the film is set in 1967 during the Newark Riots. It will be released in September 2020.
