Real talk: I’ve been dealing with a lot of travel exhaustion. 3 months of full time traveling was truly incredible but my energy has totally shifted to transitioning to my new life here in sunny LA (& job hunting 🥴) but I promise to get back in the groove of editing the 15k of summer photos that I haven’t even look at yet. Also, Fall is coming and hopefully we’ll make it out to the east coast for the most beautiful orange tones. Love to you all. Who’s looking forward to Fall? 🍂🍁

Sending aloha from Kauai. We hope you're able to get out and enjoy the great outdoors this weekend! 👣⛰️✨ 📷: @coachocho85
I was so excited to have clear skies and 360 views for the North Summit of Mt. Victoria but that totally backfired. Although we were stubborn for a while and explored a few possible places to go up, the avalanches crashing down on a steeper slope not far from us, made us turn back. While we were enjoying the views from a safe spot on the glacier before heading down into the valley, pretty much every line we considered, slid. I think it's doable if we get the summit for sunrise and descend while the slopes are still cold. Any takers for a 10PM start? 😴 September 19, 2019
PS. I just had my helmet off for the photos on our break, it was on for the glacier travel #safetythird 🙄

After waking up to a leaky tent from the nonstop downpour, @missholldoll and I were pretty much ready to go home. We spent the morning in the tent hoping that the rain would stop (or that it would at least stop raining as hard as it was) so we could actually go out and do something. I’m not completely against hiking in the rain (I live in Seattle so I’m pretty used to it), but it’s always a little different when you’re camping and you don’t have a way to dry everything when you’re done. Even worse when you’re on a trip you’ve been looking forward to for six months and drove 12 hours for... just to have terrible conditions.
We had plans to go hiking at noon with our new friend/one of the park’s employees (hi @uncreativepotato 😊). When 11:40 rolled around, the rain hadn’t completely stopped but it was a little lighter, so we figured we might as well make the best of it and stick with our plans. The only way to go home if we wanted to was to hike 17 miles to the car... so we might as well just roll with the punches while we’re stuck here, right?
We made the right choice. This hike was the highlight of the trip for me and we ended up having so much fun! The weather constantly switched between rain, snow, and just enough sunshine to keep us fairly dry, and somehow we lucked out enough to see something besides just clouds at the viewpoint 😜 It was such a great reminder that being with the right people and keeping a positive attitude always makes such a big difference on days like these ✨

Word to the wise, your instincts never lie to YOU. They may differ to someone else but your instincts are a reflection of what your subconscious deems important to you. Your priorities, principles, values, leanings. It’s why, when you sense something off about someone, it’s because you feel like they don’t align with your vision and your sensors are going off and poking your torso, creating that uncomfortable feeling in your stomach and chest. Those that follow their instincts tend to avoid chaos in their lives yet, those that try and implement their ego are foolishly overpowering their alert notifications. You can never defeat what your brain is hinting, your ego try’s to convince you that you can either change the situation or person but, the odds far outweigh positive outcomes. Follow you initial verdict, no matter how disheartening it may come off in the beginning. Pay attention to the details of something as simple as to how someone’s texts, structures their sentences when addressing you. But, if you can avoid texting in general...do that! Texting kills relationships, pick up the phone and address issues that way, especially if you can’t address someone right then and there, in person. Now if they don’t pick up, get the hint and move on. Things are always either black or white, stay away from gray areas...most of all, keep away from those that try and drag you into that gray crevasses. #vscocam
