For most of my life, I did not know how to fold a fitted sheet😩🤦🏾♀️ Then one day I could not stand my linen closet looking a mess any longer with those messy fitted sheets. So I searched until I found a video, watched it 10 times and finally learned how to neatly fold a fitted sheet!!! 🙌🏾 Now I am passing my knowledge along to you☺️ Thank you @marthastewart (I think that’s who I originally learned this from) if not... I’m sure she knows how to do it too🤣

Here's one myth that annoyingly absolutely refuses to die out: the #ResistanceTraining-induced increase in lean muscle mass which raises your basal metabolic (#BMR) and #AfterBurn significantly, enough to induce fat loss! (More on 'after burn' below). Numerous studies have shown that #resistancetraining (#RT) fails to increase #RestingMetabolicRate (#RMR). But the myth refuses to die down!
So, the argument that most #exercise professionals / #PersonalTrainers / gyms make, that RT induces increase in RMR (or #BasalMetabolicRate: BMR*) and this then helps burn #calories through out the day (#AfterBurn) is what sets RT apart from #AerobicTraining and therefore makes RT a better contributor to #CalorieExpenditure and thus, for inducing #weightloss / #fatloss - going by current evidence - falls flat on its face... Inforgraphics show:
1. How little calorie expenditure is affected by packing on lean muscle mass, and
2. Modifiable components of #TDEE (total daily energy expenditure): it should be noted here that RMR / BMR cannot be greatly altered. #NEAT (non-exercise activity thermogenesis) is the most modifiable component of TDEE and it is this NEAT that sets the lean individuals apart from the overweight-obese ones. *PS: RMR and BMR do not differ significantly, can be used interchangeably.
