Barfi, the movie, is synonymous to a warm blanket on a winter night, a ray of sunlight on a winter morning, the smell of earth after the first rain, a gust of chill wind on a summer afternoon. It is everything that makes you feel that everything is alright, makes you forget all of your problems, all of the societal pressure, judgement that lays heavy on us. It gives you hope.
Barfi, the character, is everything that a hopeless romantic person, a friend, a father (,or even a policeman for that matter) has ever thought of having. The simplicity, the love, the decency, the curiosity, the generosity that the character carries within males us empathize him more. The character is a perfect blend of innocence and mischief which is also portrayed in his every expressed emotion. In our world which is filled with god knows how many social standards and people following them, Barfi is the only exception.
The characters, the setting, the cinematography, the direction and everything else in between is so beautifully portrayed and conveyed to the audience. Anurag Basu, the director, has given attention to each and every minute detail in this yet another cinematographic masterpiece, that you can't help but fall in love with everything in this movie. Every aspect, every emotion of each main character has been so perfectly captured and delivered that the viewer just gets so engrossed and caught up by the vibe wothout even knowing. The movie portrays a spectrum of love and makes the viewer ponder about each one of them and the songs complement each and every feeling felt by the viewer throughout.

ARRIVAL MOVIE REVIEW??
It’s DAY 70 but honestly I can’t decide if it feels like forever or did quarantine just begin?
Anyway I watched “Arrival” today and my mind is fuckeddddd.
Why is it that there always has to be a beginning and we’ve got to stop at the end? This linear business of time stopped making sense to me and I want to experience everything at once. Maybe it’s because if we did we’d constantly interrupt the workings of the universe and mould it according to our wants, us, needy humans constantly protecting ourselves from the future fate. “In war there are no winners, only widows”

Very strange and honestly unnerving short film from the 1940s. The alien soundtrack, eccentric cutting and strange camera shots definitely are the cause of that, but they also reveal how much thought and ingenuity was put into the short's creation. The practical lack of dialogue became unnoticable for me. There are many meanings one can draw from this, both in the original context and modern day. Recommended for fans of early or experimental cinema, and if you want to scratch your head after watching something that's just 13 minutes long.

I had a ton of people tell me they really liked my Trex Skull piece and I have been sitting on this concept for awhile. So I decided to make this into a series called F O S I L A. Not sure how many I’ll do but I have two more planned out for sure!
I made this in photoshop with some assist from blender. I purchased a 3D triceratops skull, used weight paints and a few particle systems to generate the flowers along the skull, lit it to match my scene, rendered and started composting. I thought it would be a nice touch to add the girl in and have some petals falling towards her. Anyway I’m super stoked with how this one turned out and it may be my new favorite piece! It will be added to my print shop tonight if you’d like to order one 😉
