May 25th, 1984
Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom premieres in theaters at #1 with a $25.3 million opening weekend. It would fall a week later to Star Trek III: The Search for Spock. The film is technically a prequel to Raiders of the Lost Ark, taking place a year earlier. Steven Spielberg and George Lucas considered several ideas for the plot, including a motorcycle chase on the Great Wall of China, the discovery of a secret world of dinosaurs, a Monkey King, and a haunted castle in Scotland. Harrison Ford took many of the one liners that were originally met for his sidekick Short Round. On a budget of $28 million, it would go on to make $179.8 million domestically, the 3rd biggest movie of 1984 behind only Beverly Hills Cop and Ghostbusters.

Watched this absolute 80s gem. I watched it with my 3 year old and he was glued to the TV staring at the screen like wtf. I almost didn't let him watch it but I'm pretty sure I was his age when I watched it and the love of horror is strong with my boy. What an absolute none stop poltergeist haunting movie. This one is unrelenting unlike those paranormal activities movies that don't do shit in an hour and a half. #poltergeist#stevenspielberg#tobehooper#justwatched#80s#80shorror#moviefan#movie#instahorror#horrorfan

I saw majority of my favorites of 2014 without seeing a trailer or having a general idea of what said movie was about. I just knew a new Captain America was coming out, Wes Anderson was back at it, It Follow got great reviews, Ben Affleck was making his attempt at starring in Gone Baby Gone, Chris Rock was making another movie with a predominantly black cast, Where I Leave You had a cast to die for, and listen.....I had zero desire to see Paddington originally...then I watched the first 10mins of it while getting a shape up and the rest was history. 2014 was a year of pleasant suprises.

Kirk and Spock are trying to save a species from an exploding volcano while adhering to the prime directive but spock ended up in jeopardy which caused the Enterprise to reveal itself. A little girl is dying of an incurable disease that's until John steps in offering a cure, his blood but he wanted something in return. Thomas needed to blow up a section 31 building in London. Spock and kirk are called to Admiral pikes office and because of the volcano issue spock is transfered and kirk demoted. During a meeting at Starfleet the meeting is attacked by John killing Pike, he is stopped but transports to Kronos. Admiral Marcus reinstates kirk with orders to track down and kill John using stealth torpedoes. Scotty resigns as he doesn't want untested torpedoes on his ship. They track down John instead using mudd confiscated ship but are attacked by Klingons, John saves the away team & hands himself in once he is aware the torpedoes are in board. He tells kirk to check them & they find out there is a person in each torpedo. Kirk asks Scotty to do recon and discovers a hidden base. Admiral Marcus comes after the Enterprise in the USS vengeance & causes severe damage. John/Khan takes over the vengane killing Marcus and heads to earth. Kirk sacrifices his life for the ship and Spock seeks revenge.
This film lacked so much for me, the worst of the new filmshey should have just stuck to using John Harrison as the villain rather than saying my real names Khan then you wouldn't be expecting certain things from this movie. The scene in the chamber where Kirk dies instead of Spock was good (emotional) but unfortunately Spocks Khaaaan lacked a lot of anger & grief, I liked they swapped the roles though. There was very little emotional connection in this movie. Felt like I was a vulcan. They made a big deal about the villain in its promotion wouldn't reveal the name as soon as they said Khan your like yes! As soon as you watch the film your like noo.

PS: Et Miss Fine!!! ❤❤❤ Mêmes les personnages adultes sont géniaux!

GOT S8 Ep 6 The Iron Throne
TV Rating : 6.5/10
Directors : David Benioff and Dan Weiss
There is no other word that came out of my mouth the second i ditched the closing credits of the series that has been blowing my wits away and the lone cinematic material that i was so eager to hail as my first GOAT ( Greatest Of All Time). Distasteful. Episode 6 is Utterly, Horribly, Distasteful. While this narrative refers to one epsode only, I could not contain my dismay over how the showrunners mindfully and deliberately gave complacency and mediocracy an effin try and made a hefty accommodation for Season 8 specifically for episodes 5 and 6. So what's the big D? The Storyline. I will have to agree to the remake crusade that it was a bad and unforgivable writing. The brilliance in storyline development and plot management that has been hailed for nearly a decade have all gone to waste through a discounted episode wrap up. The character development has become pointless and irrational. Despite the growing hate among GOT fans midway season, i remained objective and trustful, and even found the remake petition Hasty and Barbaric, and waited patiently for a redemptive season finale. But HBO served me a lemon. I could not help but think that the showrunners banked on the fan craze; the viewership engagement was their northern star and art took a backseat. How and why? The GOT fans feed and thrive on theory and speculation spree which spelled Commercial Reach for them. Showrunners banked on it, compromising what the world came to see - the magnificence of its story. Now i could only hope GRRM could sweep Jon Snow from the nothingness that HBO knows. #GameOfThrones#seasonfinale#TheIronThrone#filmreview#filmreviews #filmfestivals #cinephile#filmnerd#filmgeek#cinephilecommunity#filmbuff#filmcritic#movie#movienight#moviejunkie#movienerd#moviefan#instamovie#instamovies#instafilm#instacinema#hollywood#movielover#moviebuff#passion#classic
