This photograph was taken at 23:04 UTC on 13 December 1972. Earth is at an elevation of 44 degrees and azimuth of 239, directly over the South Massif as seen from the LM. Note that the LRV high-gain antenna is pointed at the Earth.

Light travels in a practically straight line over a short distance. We often use this property of light to determine if an object is flat or straight from visual observation.
Some flat-Earthers start with the wrong assumption that a specific object is flat, then attempt to redefine how our vision works from that. They are wrong. From visual observation, we can determine if an object is flat, not the other way around.
As an example, a flat-Earther began with the assumption that a football field is flat. Then he did an experiment and discover that the feet of a person on the other side of the field appear to be obscured. He took the wrong conclusion that a flat object can cover the bottom of a distant object.
It was an invalid causality. Because light travels in a straight line, visual observation let us determine if the field is flat. If the feet of a person on the other side of the field is obscured, then there is only one possible conclusion: the football field is not flat. And the field itself was probably constructed using visual observation as an aid, and that was deliberately made not perfectly flat to allow water runoff.
In this case, the flat-Earther is trying to revise our understanding about how light travels, so that the various natural observations can be presented as if they are consistent with the flat Earth model. In reality, it does not work that way. We use the said property of light to determine if an object is flat or straight, not the other way around.
The year 2019 marks 50 years since the first men landed on the moon in the Apollo 11 Moon Landing. Next week on Wednesday 25th September 2019, the first UAE and Arab astronaut will be heading into space to the International Space Station.

Chandrayaan-2 orbiter performing normally, Isro says before hinting contact with Vikram lost forever
The Indian Space Research Organisation in a statement said that the Chandrayaan-2 orbiter is functioning as expected before dropping a broad hint that hope for re-establishing contact with the Vikram lander is gone forever

The Chandrayaan-2 orbiter is performing satisfactorily in its orbit around the Moon, the Indian Space Research Organisation said Wednesday as it dropped broad hint that chances of re-establishing contact with the Vikram lander are next to none now.
In a five-point update on the Chandrayaan-2 mission, Isro said that all the payloads that are present on board the orbiter are powered on and that initial trials to test the payloads, which will perform experiments on the Moon, were carried out successfully. "Performance of all orbiter Payloads is satisfactory," Isro also said. "Orbiter continues to perform scheduled science experiments to complete satisfaction."
Speaking about the Vikram lander, Isro only said that "national level committee" is examining why communication with the lander was lost. Interestingly, the space agency chose not to say that all efforts to make contact with the Vikram lander are on, as it has been saying so.
If the new Isro statement is a hint that it has given up on contacting Vikram, there's a good reason for it. Night is about to descend on the region of the Moon where Vikram attempted its soft landing on September 7. (It was in the last moments of this landing attempt that Vikram lost touch with ground control).
During night, temperatures on the Moon plunge to less than minus 200 degrees Celsius. Vikram, which has no onboard heating equipment, cannot survive such cold.

Went to a talk about space exploration at the Washington State History Museum. Got to see some moon rocks, and then they also had an exhibit on LBD's or Little Black Dresses throughout history. Some of the dresses from the exhibit are from the 1850s until modern day. Some of them are for mourning, formal events, and partying. Super neat.

Take this in to account, 1 million seconds in a human lifetime is about 0.031709792 of a year, while a billion seconds is about 31 years. That's the difference from 1 million to 1 billion. Now think of this, our galaxy is only 300,000 lightyears in diameter. Our solar system is only about 1.87 lightyears in diameter.
