I believe no matter what challenges we are faced with, simple joys can lift our spirit. My grandma always said- each day we have is a gift.
My people. 💖 throughout these weird times, I am constantly motivated by my tribe. Missing the ones I can’t see right now, hearing them on the phone or knowing they are doing workouts with me brings a smile to my face.
My mom who has moved in to help with Sofia so I can continue working- my team who I get to chat with daily- my HEALTH. The hummingbird I saw on my walk today.
I know I have a lot to be thankful for. Today I’m focused on the simple joys which make me smile inside. Sending a smile to you today 😘

☀️ It’s day whatever in quarantine. - I’ve stopped counting - and I’m just patiently waiting for the day I can finally hug people.⠀
My daughter asked me the other day if I thought that we’ll ever feel comfortable hugging once this is all behind us.⠀
Absolutely! I will feel the feels of human contact again. I don’t want that part of the love language to stop.⠀
So, for now, here’s a huge virtual hug 🤗
ROUTINES PART 3: CREATE A TEENY TINY ROUTINE⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Whether it is a self care, exercise, beauty, work, cleaning routine or reading more books, I want you to pick an area of priority and then make the action teeny tiny. Create a teeny tiny routine.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Now watch your brain freak the F out and give you a dozen reasons why that isn't good enough. It will tell you why you should pick more areas of priority. (Think of how funny that sounds...if everything is a priority then nothing is a priority.) You will tell yourself that you should pick loftier goals with more time commitments. You should be doing more.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It is as if your brain forgets it has to pass through the teeny tiny things to get to the big stuff. You want to exercise for an hour, but aren't doing anything right now. Remember you have to do five minutes of exercise to get to 10, 20, 30, 45, and 60. To write 500 words a day, starts with your ass in a chair writing something even if for only five minutes each and every day.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Whatever f o r e v e r 🖤
Quarantine life is hitting a little harder today. I’m feeling unmotivated & completely lacking all creativity, but I’m also going a little stir crazy with zero desire to binge Netflix or sit still. All I’ve really done today is eaten too much food, organized my bathroom for the 174th time, stared at a blank word document for far too long, felt anxious over the news, & researched a couple of trips that I can’t go on. 🤦🏻♀️ I feel guilty for doing nothing, but I feel grateful that I CAN do nothing. Idk.. Can someone please tell me a joke or sprinkle happy dust on me? I need a good laugh or a giant glass of wine. Probably both. Brb. 🍷
