A new collaboration of @israelodelmundopapel and me is finished! First Israel drew the seahorse and around it I created the environment with the travel drawing machine.

We are happy to announce that we'll be working with the Polish composer and artist @wojtekgrabek for his next full-length album release. We truly love Grabek's music and are excited to share his new material with the world. The album will see a release in March 2020 with the 1st single out next month.
For now, enjoy this live performance filmed a year ago in Szczecin, Poland. Full video available on YouTube via link in bio.
Another from Henze’s Serenade for Solo cello. In between working on my set for gig @corsica.studios @naviarrecords Haiku Fest IV, I use classical repertoire to push myself technically and learn new things. This Pastoral though lyrical is atonal and requires notes to be pulled out of nowhere all round the cello. Still not there however I started out working on this thinking it was way beyond me and never would happen. Now it is within my grasp
Composition Tip I: EMBRACE CHANGE
A lot of times I find that the best of my music become what they are through changes made to it. Sometimes, it means to alter a melody or to take out a section of music entirely.
I generally start off with a central idea of how I want my music to be perceived. Yet, the more I make music, the more I find myself having to tweak my initial idea, whether musically or mentally and most importantly to embrace these changes as part of the music making process.
We’re moving very soon (this weekend) and in the process I found some of the scores for the first few classical pieces I ever wrote, a couple years old now. Sometimes I can manage to force myself to write stuff down!
Longform Editions 11 is now:
Olli Aarni draws beautifully upon the space of early morning and its silvery light in an unfurling piece reflecting the emotional pull of nature.
Nickolas Mohanna sources raw materials from the topographies of our vibrant ecosystem, producing chance encounters in collaging field recordings exploring evolution and decomposition.
Aimée Portioli's Grand River project combines classical minimalism and electronic sounds together in pure harmony and vivid drifting.
Antti Tolvi plays our oldest known drone instrument - the gong - in a sublimely distilled meditation on transformation of feeling and perception through sound.
Longform Editions has become a space for exploration: for the pure aesthetic of sound, reclamation of time and concentration as well as a narrative for music eroded by our lack of space and digital overload. Thank you for your support this year.
