CHANGE YOUR REALITY❓
We can’t control what is going on in the outside world. A big lesson in life is learning to stop controlling that world.
The only thing you will ALWAYS be able to control is your innerworld🙏🏻. For some of us this will feel like an impossible task but we have to realize that we can only influence the outer environment till a certain degree. Most things just happen out of our control and that’s the way it is.
Take people for example. People are going to do what people want to do and that’s fine! Let them and stop steering, pushing, controlling and forcing. Instead focus on yourself, decide whether you want to take part or rather take a step back from a particular situation. This, is what you can control.
Situations will unfold no matter what. Some situations will be to your liking and some will definitely not. Your reaction to them is what you CAN fully control, anytime, anywhere with any whom.
Making this adjustment in your attitude, mindset and inner world will change your world from the inside out.☝🏻After you respond different it will not only change YOU as a person but the outer world will be affected by it as well. Overtime you will start to perceive from a different level. This is where the real change starts.. this is where a person changes his own behavior which is an extremely difficult thing to do.
Where you once would engage in a situation with a stressful or negative response you are now disengaging, treating it differently and shortening your refractory period (the time you let an emotional reaction last after a certain event)
Your actual physical world will start to look and feel different. Because what is reality?
Your Reality is formed by the emotions, feelings and thoughts you get when you perceive the outer world and all that is happening around you.
Outerworld🌃+ Innerworld☯️ (your perception)= your reality. 🌅
By changing the way you respond to life you change the world inside you. You change your reality.

looking back on my trip, my biggest takeaway is that to be successful doesn’t mean you won’t fail. It doesn’t mean you won’t make mistakes, hurt people (😥 the worst), and drop the ball. All things I’ve beat myself up over.
Success MEANS you run. It means you figure it out as you go, don’t wait for perfection to try new things, and repent when needed.
But more than anything, it’s that you don’t allow your failures & shortcomings to define your future action. You keep going.
I’m looking back & saying I’m sorry to those I’ve failed or let down at times, mostly myself. But I’m not staying there because God has more in store for me & there are way too many people who are left to lead to freedom. So peace out ✌🏼 perfection, and hello PROGRESS. Ready to runnnnn.
What if you didn’t see things as either “good” or “bad”? What if you looked at everything simply as information? The things that leave you feeling positive are what you should continue to add into your life and look for. And things that leave you feeling negative and drained are info for what doesn’t work for you. Simply info on what you should change. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This is helpful in removing the emotions and making decision that align with what makes you feel good, and changing what doesn’t. The goal here is creating a life that feels good. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
My personal example: I used to work in the medical field in a high stress work environment, where people were so afraid of making a mistake that errors were constantly blamed on others. I went to work on edge every morning because I was terrified of making a mistake. I was constantly tense and unhappy. That situation gave me information on what does (and doesn’t) work for me. A high risk job may be great for some, but not for everyone (me). The fear of making a mistake as I went to work every morning wasn’t healthy. I paid attention to my reaction, made a shift to a new career that isn’t so high risk. Now, I enjoy going to work each morning. My anxiety has reduced dramatically. My quality of life has improved because I paid attention to my body’s signals and adjusted accordingly.

WHO THE HELL ARE YOU?
Some people say you are the average of the people you spend most time with.
Now that might be true for the masses but as long as you are MINDFUL you can consciously create yourself, your personality traits, your successes and the positive impact on those who come into contact with you (if they indeed choose themselves consciously or unconsciously to be effected by you). You can even choose to adopt certain personality traits from anyone in the world, alive or dead as long as you feel an emotional connection to said trait. Religious people do it all the time becoming more like Jesus just through their own thought.
So my question to you is.... Who are you? Or maybe more powerful and thought provoking.... Who do you want to be?
I’m personally a weird blend of about 5 people, one of which is a fictional character and not even human 😂😂 Who do you want to be more like? It can be anyone at all, alive or dead, real or fiction! Who would it be and why?

When you have a big dream, it can scare others. People will say it’s hard. They will say you can’t do it.
They will say “be normal”. Be content. Stay on the path most traveled.
Listen to those who have done it. Who have gone through the struggles and come out on the other side. Those who have achieved their goals and dreams.
You wouldn’t ask a cook for advice on brain surgery, so why do you ask people who don’t have what you want for advice on getting those things?

I’ve been doing a lot of work guys, a lot of work on myself. Figuring out things like; what happiness looks like to me, how to tell the difference between being fearful vs anxious or being sad vs depressed, what my true desires are and what makes me come alive, things that us as human beings should all be thinking about. This quote is what I strive to live by everyday. True happiness takes place when we are present and in the moment. Sometimes happiness can be an illusion from your past or from future expectations. We can think of a time when we were happy at one point in time and resort to that as being happy in the present moment. But is it true? Or when we expect something good to happen and it doesn’t turn out the way we want it to, we usually get disappointed, frustrated or angry. I see humans more and more being human doers rather than human BEINGS. Doers do and beings be. I am guilty of this myself sometimes but the time I’m being a human being is when i am learning about myself. That’s when I’m the most present.

So let me ask you, what is happiness to you right now? What are you doing everyday that makes you come alive? What makes you a human being? I encourage you to write these questions down and take some time out of your day to answer these. I believe we all owe it to ourselves to work on ourselves. Your thoughts have the incredible power of changing your life.
And your life reflects the thoughts that you have held in your mind in your past.
If your life is negative, that means that you have had negative thoughts in a recent past, because there is a slight delay between your thoughts and them materialising in your life.
And that is the reason that your present circumstances can't affect where you will be in the future if you don't let them - if you are running empowering thoughts in your mind!
So from this moment on choose the positive, empowering thoughts, that will make your life better, find the positive in things, be grateful and you will see your life improve.
And so it is easy to remember - don't let any thought be rent free in your mind. If the thought doesn't bring the profit in the future, it should be changed.

I recently read that our beliefs are the hidden scripts that run our lives.When you think about it, our beliefs are the thoughts we've decided are true.
Our beliefs create our thoughts...those thoughts create feelings...those feelings lead to our behaviors...and our behaviors bring forth results. .
So when you think about it, our beliefs can either...
🔹️Heal or Harm
🔹️Propel or Prevent
🔹️Liberate or Limit
What I found fascinating as I was reading is that a CHANGE in our MINDSET actually has the power to alter our neurochemistry. So, if we are able to change a belief, we can essentially change our lives! Powerful stuff if you ask me!
As someone who grew up with a lot of anxiety and spent so many moments stuck in my "what-if" mindset, I can say with certainty that a shift in my mindset has made all the difference. I'm still me, but I think differently. I believe so much more in myself and my abilities. And when I think about where the change came from, I realize it has been a combination of my faith that continues to grow daily and the decision to prioritize my own health. I can't stress enough how setting that alarm and putting 30 minutes aside each day to move my body and fuel it properly has allowed me to learn so much about myself.
So, as we close out a decade and begin a new one, I hope all of your beliefs are the healing, propelling, and liberating kind. I hope that every resolution for 2020 is backed by your belief that you can make it happen. And as always, if you want some support and accountability in reaching your fitness and nutrition goals, or just want to chat about the tools I've found to be helpful, I'm just a message away.

The other night, we were at dinner with another couple having a great evening. ⠀
A few hours of adult time⠀
Laughs being had⠀
As the night went on we got onto a topic, then a question was posed to me...⠀
“Do you think there is still opportunity in that”⠀
It really made me step back for a second!!⠀
It was a great question!! One you may ask yourself everyday while you try to figure out your #NEXTSTEP⠀
So, we got to talking and I started to answer the question but we got sidetracked a little and never came back to finish. ⠀
Let me finish it now...⠀
Absolutely, there is opportunity. An abundant amount of it. ⠀
It all starts with the picture...⠀
Guy #1 in the picture would be just like most and ask that same question, mostly because he isn’t ready for it. He cannot see the opportunity that lies in front of him. ⠀
- He is successful, yet hasn’t found success. ⠀
- He is fun, yet not joyful. ⠀
- He works hard, yet it’s a “job”. ⠀
- He wants more, yet needs energy. ⠀
As you can see he isn’t pointing at the top of the building, he’s only about 3/4 the way up. Another few feet or someone helping him up would open his eyes to a world of opportunity. ⠀
Then there is Guy #2 and whom the real transformation lies with! ⠀
-He Dreams as big as his children’s imaginations. ⠀
-He pushes for the goals of others with a vigorous passion. ⠀
-He has embraced positivity and community. ⠀
-He has strengthened his resolve to be a better father & husband figure. ⠀
When you can have such an impact on yourself, the World of OPPORTUNITY starts to fill your cup up. ⠀
Everyday it compounds and over time, the OPPORTUNITY gets larger and larger like YOUR DREAMS!!⠀

I thought about throwing that old chair out, then saw it had good bones. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Giving the broken chair new life reminded me of my own life and perhaps yours, and how we can do the same. We can restore ourselves and find repurpose. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
No matter the brokenness you carry, you’ve got good bones. Restore. Repurpose. Be the chair.
🧝🏼♀️ 1. There is NO other thing that operates independently of what you BELIEVE!
2. You can only experience what you ARE (if you want ANYTHING in life, you HAVE to be someone who corresponds to that). 3. You are a powerful MAGNET attracting things according to WHO you ARE (which is indicated by what you THINK and FEEL). 4. LOA never sleeps, you can’t trick it, so the best thing you can do is become interested, or in my case OBSESSED, with your EMOTIONS, REACTIONS and OUTPUT.
5. Most things are not created/attracted INTENTIONALLY but on AUTOMATIC because most likely, you didn’t understand the rules of the game, yet.
It goes something like this, you give a tiny thought ATTENTION, then it becomes a consideration, then it becomes a normal sized thought.
Then it gets bigger and attracts similar thoughts. All this accumulation attracts EMOTIONS and ENERGIES. Which start interacting with people and events.
Infinity/God/Universe does NOT recognize anything to be NEGATIVE (any experience is of value). Not every small thought manifests immediately because it is neutralized by other thoughts before it is even born into magnetism.
There is a buffer of time, allowing you to sift, choose, consider & decide to get what you REALLY intend.
Any thought you have, has the potential and probability to be your ABSOLUTE REALITY if you involve and focus yourself with it.
Consciousness creates EVERYTHING you WANT and DON’T want whether you are AWARE of your desire or resistance, or not.
Better questions generate better answers and promote bigger, more lasting conversations.
We may not have the same likes or genuinely share the same interests, but we can more easily relate to what drives us to do things. We can find commonalities in what we do without doing the same things. It can open our minds to new things which leads us to think differently and develop new ideas.
So go have bigger conversations. Ask better questions.
