alright im being dramatic, but really, how much time you spend time in total SILENCE? not talking, not listening to someone else talk, not listening to music or a podcast or TV?
we have more external stimuli and things competing for our attention than ever before, and we if don't actively seek out time to be alone with our thoughts, it might not happen ⠀
for me, my quiet time count was getting scarily low (any one else a low-key podcast addict?🙋🏼♀️I could have one playing all day everyday) so whether it was a podcast or TV playing in the background or talking on the phone or even IG stories - I felt like I was constantly taking things IN and not leaving enough space for my own thoughts
and there is something so incredible valuable about just sitting with your thoughts. about sitting with yourself. ⠀
like, hi, we all probably have a lot of great creative ideas (not to mention intuitive hits) in our heads but we won’t be able to HEAR👏🏼THEM👏🏼 if our minds are always noisy ⠀
this past week has been really really quiet. and it has felt really really good. and the more time I spend in quiet, the more I’ve been craving it, and the less noise i want to allow in

💫🧠Today's Oracle Reading: "Beyond the mind, the heart beats." The mind is a tricky thing. It evaluates, discerns, projects, conjures and manifests both the good and bad, the light and dark. Society applauds those who employ logic over those who follow their hearts. We love parading around the many ways we can use our minds to justify our behaviors and magnify our intelligence, but what of the heart? 💝
Is it there merely to keep you alive , but otherwise useless? Is there an opportunity to tap into another source of wisdom that we all have neglected in the spirit of leading logical lives?
When we can master our thoughts we become masterful alchemists of existence. Logic has its place on the continuum of consciousness. However, beyond how we think things should be is an inner guidance that has already accepted all that is and operates from a place of love and expectation of all that is good. That is where the heart can help.

KEY IDEA. Those things that control your thoughts will control your actions.
No matter how resistant you are to the idea, you are controlled by several things. Your employer tells you when to come to work. Your bank account tells you what you can purchase. Your health affects your physical abilities. Your attitudes affect your actions.
That’s right! What you think affects how you act. That’s why it is so hard to change.
Unfortunately, change is impossible unless I recognize those things that are controlling me. We might be controlled by ambition, greed, sex, popularity, or physical appearance, a desire for a partner, or what others think of us. It might even be our pain or our past. My potential was limited by those things I allowed to have power over my life. We all face these limitations.
